Belletaina I’m not sure if you really want an answer to your question or if it was sarcasm, but black women in America face backlash constantly and especially dark skinned black women are under constant scrutiny. Being expelled from school for wearing your real hair, having your body sexualized and shamed, stereotyping etc. No this is not civil right era struggles, but there are a lot of damaging tropes and stereotypes that are harmful to the overall mental wellness and self esteem of black women in the US. It’s hurtful to grow up being made fun of for full lips and a big butt to then see other races of women emulate this through surgery and be praised as goddesses. Imagine being denied a job over a natural hairstyle to then turn on the tv or open a magazine and see that a Kardashian is credited with starting some new trend that has existed within your community for ages. That is a struggle.

It seems completely disingenuous to me. And although it’s good that innocent people get released regardless of how it’s done, there’s are people who dedicate careers, living off of barely any wages, trying to represent people in that situation and push for prison reform and barely get anywhere, and Kim is supposed to just walk right in and they get released. As a social worker, I know how hard it is to create change and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

They couldn't yell at Tristan because he wasn't Khloe's man. The party was at his house. If they were still a couple why would he have a separate home in LA? Jordan let it "slip" that they were broken up in the Red Table Talk interview. Remember when the story broke he was out with a whole other chick that wasn't (either) Jordan and never shied away from the cameras. They tried to use the scandal to twist the narrative that Khloe dumped Tristan, instead of the truth of him never being committed to her and wandering off for good with another random woman. I wouldn't be surprised if they set Jordan up, and that is the real reason why Kylie has been so upset and has not bashed Jordan.

I get what your saying, but can us black women stop making it seem like other ethnicities don’t have curvy figures or having a curvy figure is the only body type for black girls. The Smiths are "royalty" and have real standing, because they have earned it with their talent. The Kardashians, between all of them, have yet to show an ounce of talent. They've 'dumbed down' everything they've touched, and influenced a generation to become as vacuous as possible. The decision to name the shapewear line "Kimono" was a calculated and genius (in the business and marketing sense) move. I don't think they had any intention of keeping that name, and they have launched too many successful products and gotten too far in to the public eye to make a "mistake" like that. They knew exactly what they were doing and what the effect would be for filing those trademark applications. Causing that level of controversy would create such an enormous amount of conversation and free PR on an international level that no amount of money spent on traditional marketing could ever have bought. And after all the uproar (and publicity) dissipated, they announced the new name for the line, "Skims;" said announcement generated an even MORE amount of likes and free PR for her. If you're going to critique her about being obtuse and insensitive on that account, I don't think it's very well-founded. She did it on purpose BECAUSE she is not insensitive. She knew the uproar it would create; her insensitivity was, then, her choice to use it to her monetary advantage.
