Bruce Gary can actually keep a beat and all his drum fills are legit One of the most under rated drummers ever Hello the beginning of My Sharona. And Number or your Name He almost is standing up when he plays He plays with passion and one of my inspirations as a drummer I was only 11 years old when Get the Knack came out and My Sharona one of the first songs I learned to play. RIP Bruce Gary

Look at Doug Fieger's face around 1:14 - he's living his near-lifelong dream at that moment. He clearly says "Wow" when looking over the Carnegie Hall audience right before the camera cuts away.

Interesting that Doug Fieger is playing a black Fender Stratocaster instead of his 1972 Sunburst Strat. My guess is that either he owned a black Stratocaster, or he rented/borrowed it from someone. Either way, it looks nice. Much of those guitars got auctioned off after Doug Fieger died in 2010. That Les Paul Berton is playing looks good too. RIP Doug Fieger RIP Bruce Gary

I listen to this great music from the late 1970s, what a great band, and I am sadly reminded that lead singer Doug Fieger died at the all too young age of 57 from lung cancer on Feb. 14, 2000. Gone 15 years already. DAMN!

Buddy Holly sang the original version and Humble Pie did its own take of the song in 1969, but this cover by The Knack blows the former two out of the water by a mile. In fact, their version was so great you'd be forgiven if you thought theirs was the original. They practically OWN this song. (Sorry, Buddy)
