Too much hype is put on Bronny’s improved play in the G league. Snoop Dogg said it best about Bronny: “Ain’t nothin but a G thang, Baby.” G league success does not translate to NBA success. For example, Mac McLung is 6’2, (same height as Bronny) & plays same position as Bronny. Mac is more athletic & a proven better shooter & player, winning the G league MVP scoring just shy of 26 points and had average 20 points a game in 3 of his 5 G league seasons. Mac also won back to NBA dunk contests. Mac McClung is way better than Bronny. Yet Mac is only played 5 NBA games, with the Lakers, Bulls, 76ers & Magic. The point? G league success does not always translate to NBA success, Mac is way better than Bronny.

Mac doesn't have half the DNA of one of the best Athletics to ever play a game in any sport. Also, Bronny scored 30 at 20 while Mac stayed in college for 3+ years. Kids with NBA DNA are going to get the looks that most kids will not. IE: Kenyon Martin, Jr who played at IMG prior to being drafted with the 52nd pick. it took him a few years and some time playing in the Gleague to be a good rotation player. Just like Kiyan will get a shot in the nba regardless of his performance at syracuse and just like Chris Paul son, The Barnes twins, Arenas son and the bowser brothers will get a shot along with Bryce.

Bronny has never had any exceptional accolades in high school , college or now. I was at that game. They weren't defending him all that hard because he was maybe the number 3 option in the floor for the Lakers at any given time (Kelley and #11 were definitely more dynamic scoring threats). You're right that he had a good game, but it was in no way a dominant game. One clip you're ignoring is where he got blocked twice on the same play when he had an open wing in the corner that he could have dished it out to. You can tell that there is definitely a strong competition on that roster between Bronny and Jordan Goodwin and it looks to me like that will be healthy for Bronny's development but he's not ready for the league yet. From what I saw Bronny has all the mechanics and fundamentals down but he is in his own head and didnt look like he was actually enjoying himself out there compared to the other players on the team. He was putting the work in and doing all the "right things" but getting very discouraged any time a play didnt work out, especially if he got benched for Goodwin right after that play didn't work out. Once he quits thinking so hard and just lets the game come to him is when i think he'll make the biggest step forward in his career, but if you'd actually watched that game in Tempe in it's entirety tou would never describe Bronny's preformance as dominant.
