You need VRR and you get more fps.

Basically tvs have locked refresh rates. It's 30hz , 50hz , 60hz as universal refresh rates for a tv. So your input can only be displayed at these 3 refresh rates when connected to a tv. There are tvs that support 120 hz refresh rates but they too can't display anything in between these numbers. For that you need a variable refresh rate display. So if you get 72 fps it outputs 72 fps. But if 72 fps is given to a tv with 60hz , your screen will start to tear. ( screen tearing in picture). Similarly if you give 72 to a 120hz display it won't be smooth at all.

When i played the recent remake of part 2 and saw all the areas where the frames dropped whereas in the original, there was no frame drops at all. I knew that the game would be getting some type of pro enhancements. Its a shame they had to put defects in a game that was perfectly made. I do see where there were improvements in the remake, but100% believe those improvements could be made without messing with the game's performance.

This game in general runs poorly even on PC. From the looks of it they didn't really put much time into this pro update. Looks like it was more than afterthought where they just kind of, switched out FSR for PSSR and called it a day. But there are other titles that show a very potent and huge difference both in FPS and visual quality itself beyond resolution. If anything I think this game is just a fun example of a lazy implementation of the pros ability. Although still a nice touch

No,they need to zoom because you are watching the video on a smartphone and with KZbin compression. This is the closest way to show the difference on KZbin, and even so it is not the same as seeing it on TV. A game that taught me this in practice was Horizon forbidden west, in the reviews the performance mode and fidelity seemed to be the same thing, but when I played it at launch, the performance mode was full of shimmering and low resolution, so much so that there were a lot of complaints and guerrilla games fixed this about 3 months later.

You’re not listening bro, and you never played this game on PS5 it seems. This is the OLD settings of the PS5, and they let the choice for the user to use it. The Pro Mode is the new mode, better quality than the quality mode and 60fps

Wukong has no confirmed PS5 Pro mode yet but will probably still run better automatically. Alan Wake 2 devs haven’t released it for DF to try? All of this is pre-released software.

DF really is nitpicking very minute “issues”, that says a lot. If you have to slow down, speed up, or zoom in or point out such a small “issues”, that means most people wouldn’t notice it while playing the game

Seems like a lazy patch. Just unlock the quality mode's fps, drop resolution til it can hit 70 fps or so and add PSSR. Dunny why they just boosted performance mode.
