I think the relationship between Noel Gallagher and Meg Matthews should be explored too. They weren’t as glamours as what Patsy and Liam seemed to be, but they for sure had a very interesting couple dynamic. There were countless rumors that Noel actually forbade Meg to see their baby daughter, Anais, because she was in-and-out of rehab and was partying too much, alongside wild ladies like Kate Moss and Sadie Frost etc. Noel apparently threatened Meg with her losing custody over Anais, if her party-girl antics wouldn’t change. This is also the biggest reason for their break up, I believe, and it sounds like it was actually Noel who took the role of a responsible parent in this situation. I think around the time Anais was born he matured a lot.

The easiest way of explaining Liam is that he's a mummy's boy. The baby of the family, he was spoiled and indulged endlessly when he was a kid, and he carried that into adulthood. You see that kind of thing a lot in the case of children of divorced parents. The mum will sometimes overcompensate for the failed marriage by overdoing things with her kids - especially the youngest - always giving them what they want and never setting boundaries. Liam is just a grown man who was never told "no" as a child. Regarding Lisa Moorish, she was actually Liam's girlfriend around early-1995. The real reason that Blur and Oasis fell out so spectacularly was that Moorish shagged Damon Albarn while she was still seeing Liam. Liam didn't take kindly to being humiliated like this, and that's where the bad blood between the two groups started. Despite several half-hearted attempts as a singing career, Moorish was essentially a groupie who'd been hanging around various scenes for years prior to this, and eventually moved on to the then-current flavour of the month, Pete Doherty.

I've read all the parts about Liam in Patsy's book and this video feels almost too negative. There are so many sweet stories that Patsy tells about Liam which are left out here and what is also not said here is how she keeps saying how great of a father Liam is to their child and that he even still has a great relationship with his former stepson James (Patsy's child from her 2nd marriage). And what Patsy emphasizes a lot in her book and doesn't really come across here either is the fact that Liam was so young while they were together. Basically Patsy's conclusion about her relationship with Liam in her book is that he was too young, too beautiful, too famous and too busy to settle down yet. She was several years older than him, already married twice before they met and already had a child while he was still very young and the hottest star in the country that everyone wanted to be with

She also played what could at least be described as a significant role in Liam's staying home to house-hunt in England, rather than catch the plane to Chicago, where Oasis were to play their first arena-scale tour of America over here, off the momentum of Knebworth..... and Noel said it "killed them stone-dead in America." That's probably a bit of an overstatement, but it's clearly not wholely off the mark, either. They did go on to tour large arenas in America, including Madison Square Garden, The Hollywood Bowl, & The Patriot Center.... But not til the Don't Believe the Truth Tour.

I have a great photo of Liam and Patsy kissing while getting the shopping in from the car boot. It was 1996, and a mate and I had randomly decided that day that we would meet Noel Gallagher. Yes, Noel, not Liam. So, we set out, as you do, searching the bars in specific London areas we’d heard Noel might hang out. But we gave up after several pints and decided to check out Abbey Road studios instead. After multiple trips across the famous zebra crossing (it had moved by the way - boooo!), someone told us that Noel lived just around the corner. Wow! Maybe we’d meet our idol after all. Off we went to knock on his door. But we couldn’t find the house. We asked a few people, but nobody seemed to know where Noel lived. Then, just as we were about to give up again, a guy told us we were standing right outside of Noel’s gaff. What?!?! We couldn’t believe it. But as we were deciding what to do next, a guy with a camera came up and told us he was looking to get pictures of Liam and Patsy. Liam and Patsy? But this was Noel’s house, wasn’t it? Nope. It was actually Liam’s house. Noel lived a couple of streets away and we’d been misdirected. Anyway, this guy rang Liam’s intercom and asked if he’d come out to sign a photo he had brought along with him. Apparently he sold signed pictures of celebs and made a small living out of it. We watched to see what would happen. But Liam politely refused to come out. So we chatted with this guy for a while on the pavement outside Liam’s house. By the way, this very same bloke would later pop up on TFI Friday as the very first ‘Ugly Bloke’. Imagine me watching the show when he came on. I was blown away! But I digress. We were deflated by Liam’s no-show and about to leave, when up onto the drive in a BMW came Patsy Kensit. She’d been to Sainsbury’s. Wow, it was weird seeing her get out of the car with the shopping. But then guess who came out to lend a hand - in his slippers and tracky bottoms? Yep, Liam. And guess who struck up a conversation with him and kept him there for a few minutes? Yep, me. And guess who got a great photo that I have to this day? Yep, me again. Luckily, I’d nipped to the shop for one of those disposable cameras after the bloke with the camera showed up. Stupidly, we hadn’t even thought to bring one along with us. If that shop hadn’t sold cameras, I wouldn’t be able to prove any of this. But it did, so I can. Just not on KZbin. So I got a photo with Liam and one of him kissing Patsy, and I went back to my brother’s flat (where I was staying for a week) absolutely buzzing!

Patsy was same age as me I remember when she had a group with her brother,eighth wonder.... she wasn't very talented but was pretty and courted the media.shes actually been married four times,her last being Jeremy healy from haysi fantaysi... She had a bad cocaine habit whilst with Gallagher.She is 54 now and seems to have had quite a lot of plastic surgery.I would say she displayed the general behaviour of an individual shoved into showbiz as a child.

In 1994 I was 24 years old and in the prime of my life. I’d been into baggy and the mod thing, etc, but when Oasis came along everything seemed to fall into place. My first Oasis live experience was Glastonbury 1994. They played the NME stage in the afternoon, and out of our group of twelve people only one came along with me to see the band play. The rest would get it later, but we knew then and there. Two months later I saw them at Newcastle Riverside. Oh yes, the infamous gig when Noel got punched in the face and all hell broke loose. I actually sent my photos from that gig to the makers of the film ‘Supersonic’, and although my pics didn’t make the final cut, they included my name in the credits. Yes!! Anyway, the next two or three years were the best of my life. I saw Oasis at Middlesbrough Town Hall (Dec ‘94), Earl’s Court (Nov ‘95) Loch Lomond (Aug ‘96) and another amazing Glastonbury (June ‘95). From there I saw them another six times, with the last one being Glastonbury 2004. More than any other band, Oasis defined my life as a young person. They impacted on me like no other musical force. They made me pick up and learn the guitar. They made me name my first born son Liam. They made me buzz a thousand buzzes. I can’t overstate how much they affected my life. And today I still love the nostalgia. So thanks, James, for your hard work and incredible channel. You’re doing great things, mate. Please keep going.

Awesome man and it's great to see the legend of oasis live on to the next generation I'm 19 always knew of their radio songs but never really got into them until my dad put on definitely mabye and man I'm fuckin hooked, morning glory is my favourite album, love playing oasis on my guitar all the guitar players seem to hate Noel's playing style but I think it's so good man simple is sometimes the best option.. I've gotta see Liam live whilst I'm still young and have time before I'm older and a proper adult lmao
@Gravedigger20242 жыл бұрын
@@nathanadnitt yeah, without Oasis I would never have picked up a guitar and stuck at it. Hearing my fingers play Wonderwall - even badly - was enough to get me hooked and keep me learning. Fuck the supercilious music professors who look down on Oasis fans. They will never get it. As for Liam live. I took my two adult sons to see Liam and give them the closest experience they’ll ever have to seeing Oasis. It was a fantastic night. Enjoy.

Aww I love your whole Oasis playlist Can we have the Noel and Meg lore next please or was there not much to report about their history ? I love these 90’s videos . I was a tween and teen in the 90’s so I remember reading the papers and hearing stories on the radio or tv about popular bands and it’s interesting to hear the deeper stories behind the tabloids . The lack of internet made me take things at much more face value as a kid as you couldn’t do your own digging in the same way.

In my opinion, as someone said Patsy liked bad boys and I think this is the only thing that attracted her to Liam. Liam was attracted to her physically only. You can’t build a relationship on attraction alone.., I don’t think they ever connected, hence why they rowed all the time, they had nothing in common and what happens with “Couples” that have no connection all they do is fight all the time, that’s the connection.

Once in 1996, I was at an American oasis show and ended up meeting the band. When I met Liam our eyes locked. I said good show and I was struck by his to presence. Later we chatted in the green room. We made out a bunch and goofed around a bunch, like kids, cuz we were kids. I was just 18...a senior in high school. I was so in love that night and didn't want him to go.... I said don't go. Don't go... He said he would've liked to have taken me out for a steak and bottle of wine proper. During all that he told me about his girlfriend who was a famous actress... I was hurt but since I liked him so much and didn't know if it was serious and we were just goofing off amongst a group, I didn't want to believe it. But I really loved him right then. I always missed him for years but ignored it because I knew I was probably just a silly groupie. I'll always hold a tiny corner in my heart for him. PS sorry Patsy if you happen to read this. I meant no offense to you. I was still young and didn't take any of it seriously sexually like you do in a deeper relationship. He was a gentleman and it was truly only kissing. PPS I edited this but it was only autocorrect errors
