Nice work. I've got mixed emotions about this. It's kinda creepy yes but also cute and sad in a way. The ghost needed a place to go the man needed someone to talk to. They provided for each other but then the man felt it was unhealthy and asked the ghost to go. He even started to doubt his own sanity thinking perhaps loneliness had driven him to imagine it all. " Maybe I have come undone."

Horror shorts don't usually translate well to feature lengths. Look at Muschietti's 'Mama', for example. The reason horror shorts are so powerful is because their format entails a concentrated burst of terror. You lose that in a full film.

@@MegaLotusEater I think that depends on the filmmaker. One also has to accept that it will be fundamentally different to the original source material. 'Lights Out' is a decent example of a short to full-length horror. While 'Terrifier' is an example of someone who just tried to make a really long short film.

I think in some ways he wanted to see something when he opened his eyes because then it would mean he wasn’t crazy and something out there cared enough to be listening to him...very effective short! Right off the bat we like the main character and he’s a man of his word - says he won’t look, doesn’t, and before he drops his hands, gives warning. Sad that he’s lonely :/
