I'm pretty sure he omitted Arnold's cousin in being the "original Ms. Frizzle" because not only is she NOT an original class member, she was also overly eager in wanting to expose their magic field trips, something that does not align with the cover up and care the whole "operation" is about. Janet is already female & has a female name. She wouldn't need to create a name called Miss. Frizzle because all she would have to do is use her name. Arnold since he was born male, if transitioning, would OBVIOUSLY have to change names to a woman's name & obviously the name "Miss Frizzle" sounds like it's been made up by someone who just made a name for themselves, yk? Also, out of ALL the students in the class to be standing next to Miss Frizzle in this part (29:28), the fact that the person standing there just so happens to be Arnold only adds to the theory. 🤷‍♀ (Just adding more to the reasonings as to why it makes more sense that its Arnold, not Janet.)

I definitely think Ms Frizzle is feared by everyone involved, but I seriously doubt she’s a doppelgänger. I’d picture her as more of a time lord or inter dimensional being. But it’s almost like she needs something from the kids. Clearly something as powerful as Ms Frizz would be much more capable of doing something other than being a grade school teacher. Maybe it’s like a Rick and Morty scenario where the kids disguise her brainwaves from other Frizzles. It would explain why no kids can ever not go with her as they might make the perfect counter waves as a group. And realizing that eventually she’d out live them all started cloning them to keep herself hidden. The biggest question would be what is she hiding from. Is there a council of Frizzles?

🔥🔥🔥Guys, this theory is legit! The original kids cloning themselves to make an infinite amount of doppelgänger for their show sound valid. And Frizz being Arnold’s cousin from the future also sound right. (I guess Frizz’s younger self would be her doppelgänger) But the only thing that doesn’t make sense is if the kids know if it’s a show, why would they be scared of Frizz? Maybe the doppelgängers don’t know it’s a show besides Phoebe because she was only one to appear in the “producers segments”. Maybe that’s why she talks about her “old school”. It would explain why she was terrified when thinking about the Frizz getting caught. As a in universe show, The magic school bus and it’s characters (or actors) would have the dilemma of interacting with the world which would ruin the producers plans. This is the only problem for the theory I have stumbled across. If Anyone could explain what they think I’ll really appreciate it.

The main issue I have with this is they attribute all the magic to the bus, yet Ms. Frizzle's dress and earrings are shown to be animated and do magical things too. I think Ms. Frizzle is where the magic comes from, but it's like some genie/voodoo stuff where she can't give herself power so she gives it to something she could easily control yet wouldn't seem out of place... like a school bus. It's also why the things around her classroom have life of their own, because she can give them life and animation, she just can't give herself the kind of power she can give to other things.
