I’ve had this for a while and only recently started using it. Once I found it’s capabilities I’ve used it on every song. I make drum’n’bass and sometimes house and it’s phenomenal on my drum buss or just the snares.

Hi Weezna. Hope everything is going great with you. And thanks for sharing your amazing knowledge . I'm curious about your opinion on this Waves Kramer plugin compared to the Slate version. I have both , and it seems like the Slate might be a bit more CPU heavy. Other than that I don't hear any quality differences. The Kramer version has the Delay option , which I had no clue about til now (Thank You !!) . Have a great weekend .

Oh , and would you be ok with sharing your opinion and possible future plans regarding Cakewalk ? I upgraded to SPLAT very soon after discovering your KZbin channel and have been happy as heck that I did. For several years I just stuck with 8.5 because I had everything I needed to do what I do. Any ideas what you'll switch to when the time comes ?

@TrueSoundTV7 жыл бұрын
Yes it does use a bit more cpu than other plugins but if it's the sound your looking for, it's worth it. You can also freeze/bounce tracks with the tape machine on it so the processing can be freed up. Thanks for watching!

I never saw a tape sound like this... I wonder what these programmers think and perceive... It seems they can't call a sound distorted, squashed, destroyed, bad. A tape only do this if it is used by a gorilla or some other living thing like that... Unless on purpose, of course. According to this video, if you're planning to use this plugin to improve your mix, forget it. Unless you want to show how a final mix should not sound...

Real bitey??? Engineers make up their own words to describe sound. The crazy thing is if you know then you know. There is no need to ask heeeeeey so when you say bitey what do you mean? If you know you know.

If you need to EQ, use an EQ. If you need a delay, use a delay. If you need to saturate, use a saturation plug. Try a compressor on your kick drum. I have an Otari half track tape machine in my studio, this plug and every single other tape machine plugin I've ever tried sounds NOTHING like it. What it does is wonderful and I would recommend trying one on your 2 buss but these plugins... naw.
