Dig into what happened after the Chicxulub asteroid hit the Earth, and how it caused a mass extinction- including dinosaurs.
--
Sixty-six million years ago, near what’s now the Yucatán Peninsula, a juvenile sauropod feasted on horsetail plants on a riverbank. Earth was a tropical planet. Behemoth and tiny dinosaurs alike soared its skies and roamed its lands while reptiles and tentacled ammonites swept its seas. But, in an instant, everything would change. Sean P. S. Gulick details one of Earth's most devastating periods.

@BigattckFirecat Birds are dinosaurs in the same way that humans are apes. Humans are not monkeys, but we are apes. Birds are the only flying dinosaurs to have existed.

Ted Ed's animations are always top notch. I love that we still have a glimmer of hope. Our kind has almost destroyed the planet yet its humans who find ways to fix things. I wish more people are aware of the seriousness of climate change, not be in denial and take steps to combat it. This planet is our home and if we don't take care of it we'll lose it.

@@Sunflowersarepretty No one has ever denied that the climate changes over time. We are on a ball of molten rock traveling millions of miles per hour through space, with a star that constantly varies in distance and output. Of course the climate will always change. It's disturbing that so many of those people still believe the first lie, that Climate Change isn't occurring, despite fossil fuel companies since having admitted that Climate Change is occurring and that human activity is contributing to it. A lot of the same people also believe the lie that evolution doesn't occur at all, despite most Genesis Creationism leaders having moved from that position to claiming that evolution hasn't resulted in speciation or in the origin of our species specifically.
