i love melanie, i never really had a clear guitar hero when i started playing but she gives me the same feeling that I'm guessing people had about hendrix or clapton during their heydays, a living guitar legend. its a shame she hasn't released any music for awhile now but I'm hoping with this new signature thing that'll change eventually.

1. Great content, Mike. You have one of the best channels and one of the best personalities out there. 2. I have a Joe Bonamassa signature 1960 "Normburst" Les Paul reissue. Love it! As much as I like many of the established guitar heroes, I like seeing newer artists such as Melanie Faye get their due. Gary Clark Jr. ("Pearl Cadillac"), Laura Cox ("Hard Blues Shot"), and Mary Spender ("Dreams") signature guitars would be mind-blowing and here's hoping that they keep getting noticed and get the point where you, Mike Cole, are talking about their great guitars. Definitely take a look at Gary Clark Jr.'s performance of "Pearl Cadillac" on Austin City Limits, available on Vimeo. Oh, my gosh! I just at this moment discovered that Gary does indeed have a signature model Casino! Mind blown! 3. Have a fantastic day.

So many great players out there. Not sure I’d want a sig guitar unless..., I picked it up & it really spoke to me. There are some players out there who are hugely influential to me. I hear them in my playing, all the time. But, They do what they do & I do what I do. Even if I look up to their ability, their instruments are often optimal for their style of playing. I need the guitar that fits my style. That’s always going to be a little different. Of course, maybe a sig guitar is everything you need, minus a little modding?

If you can deal with a chunky neck, I highly recommend it. I always preferred and thicker neck so I love the 10/56 V shape, but I know a few people that tried it and hated it. Personally, I love mine. The Mini JB in the bridge isn't the best humbucker you will ever hear, but it sounds good. I really like mine on the middle PUP as well. But what really sets it apart is the sustainer PUP in the neck. If you want to experiment, the EOB strat is a playground you can lose yourself in for hours. If you just want to make "normal" guitar sounds, you will probably be just as happy with a "normal" guitar,
@kebab_boi Жыл бұрын
@@ImNotOld_ImVintage dude I love chunky necks, especially the soft v ones like my strat. They’re very ergonomic and comfortable to use, playing it is such a joy. And I totally agree, the EOB strat is so versatile, it’s an instrument on its own.

Any time, any day I would die to play either one of Tim Henson’s signatures his signatures are so unique and beautiful and diverse I would love to daily them. Not only did Tim reverse my look on guitar he challenges me to be better from all the things he can do. My first year of playing guitar his band was just getting popular but now they are much more popular that all my friends love them. If I had to choose one of his signatures it would be the electric because of the multitude of voices you can get with it. If I wasn’t a die hard fan of humbuckers and coil splits I would choose the acoustic for its original sound and uniqueness. This is a video that I can relate to because like Tim artists inspire me.

Aren’t those D’Angelico necks just butter?!? I adore them. The Silver Sky is the only signature I’ve owned and is definitely in that overlap of I adore the artist and I adore the instrument. I kinda had The opposite happen like a year or two ago, I was on a trip to Berlin in Germany (coming from Denmark it’s not that long of a trip) and I knew I wanted to buy a guitar on that trip, so I went into a guitar store, and there they had a signature guitar of one of the 3-4 guitarists that had inspired me most thought my hole playing experience, Michael Clifford from 5 seconds of summer. I knew he had a signature coming out, but I didn’t know it already was released, and here it was, in the store, so I picked it up, and tried to play it, along with another Gibson (one of those les Paul special you can get with p90’s or humbuckers, tho one I pickup was the p90 version) but when I picked them up and tried to play them… there were just something about michaels melody maker, that just felt off, like the neck was really not a shape I liked, and the body just didn’t feel right, which was a shame, cause as I said, Michael has been one of my biggest influences, especially early on in my career, so I didn’t feel right to me, that his guitar didn’t work for me… but at last, I ended up going with the LP special instead, still have it to this day, and one of my favorites to play, the neck just feels right, and the body, well it’s an LP I always loved those, and the p90’s just hit that right spot XD
