In OoT speed runs a glitch is used to unload a held rock and then you can load almost anything else in that space in memory. In a way the Ghost Arrow is just making sure Link's mechanics are true to his game.

Any other Link/YL mains as pissed as I am that all this stuff was removed after 1.0? 1.0 Young Link IMO is actually a higher tiered character than later versions YL. If you throw the boomerang while recovering and catch it with the hookshot, it actually gives him a small boost forward, sort of like glide tossing in Project Plus. This helps his pretty mediocre recovery, which goes a long way against the higher tiered characters likely to beat him in neutral and send him off stage quite a bit.

I think I remember for an april fools day joke somebody said they managed to fill the empty space Link's arrow is supposed be loaded into (during the ghost arrow glitch) with the opponents stock. So in theory, Link would be able to press neutral b to delete stocks. Shout out to my boys who didn't realize it was a joke and thought Link had become the most broken top tier in the game.

BoTW link is a cheater. Not only perceives time slower, but EXPERIENCES time slower as he can move normally while time is slow for everyone else. I think it was done on purpose to make the fights easier

Nion Lietz that's a fair point; between the magic and runes and bows and arrows you can use as well. It's just that Zelda has always had pretty solid sword play; Twilight Princess being my favorite, mostly because it was the most basic but also the most brutal. And while the mechanic in BoTW is cool, I just wish it didn't make the basic combat so easy. Even if they added in that just higher level enemies can break out of the rush entirely, making it like a classic mini boss battle where you have to keep up the pattern until you win or die

God, i wasn't expecting the insane RANGE of that ghost arrow glitch. Until you showed it picking up master hand's projectiles, i thought it was just a neat little "visual and purely cosmetic glitch that has no use ingame whatsoever", and that dubbing it "the most INSANE glitch in melee" was just a fun little joke... boy i was wrong, being able to PICK UP THE UI OF THE GAME ITSELF is mindblowing. Melee is a game so good that at first that you wouldn't believe the game was rushed, but if you dive in just a little deeper you go and discover that you can teleport to the other side of the stage by just airdodging diagonally onto the wall's other side (Still the best rushed game i know, some *NON-rushed* games can't top it).

This makes no sense though, interrupting Link's charge in any other way should lead to the same results ("not shot and deloaded"). Also, if the game places an "arrow object" in memory when you draw, that means that the object first wasn't there and needed to be loaded. So, unless the game loads the arrow once per GAME the very first time you draw and the Chain Dance makes it delete the arrow, so it disappears but it cannot get loaded another time for the rest of the game, then what you described sounds like the most reasonable thing from a programming perspective: load the object when Link draws, deload it when interrupted or shot to free the memory. Reload again if drawn again. There must be something else at work here, especially since it seems that "objects" could end up in the same shared memory slot. Though the background and UI bits really make no sense. The game crashing is what does make sense instead, since a memory leak or corruption is most likely to happen when the game tries to access something that is supposed to be there, but isn't.
