Love the bike! Keep it if your having fun on it! I had a set of those tires on my first dual sport bike which was a Yamaha XT350. They were great on both pave and dirt! 3 bikes I would like to have in my garage depending what kinda riding I wanna do. 1) GROM setup as a dual sport just for riding on road and on my local trails. Also to throw in my camper for our summer music festivals. Gotta get out on some adventuring while in new places. 2) light dual sport 250, first choice WR, second CRF and third KLX for local riding and some offroad weekend camping trips. 3) Adventure touring bike for those longer saddle rides cross country. Load up camping gear and take off for a week or a month adventure across North America. Anything from a Ralley Raid Honda CB500X to a KTM 1090 Adventure. bike.

Thank you! I am definitely thinking about it, the only reason I would get rid of it would be to upgrade to a "better" dual sport but honestly I don't see anything wrong with the 250L it gets a bad rap because of its weight and lack of suspension adjustment but it does just fine for me. Loving those Kenda's that's awesome you can relate. Your garage goals sound the same as mine! I'm sure we will have them soon enough!

Nice video! Great bike and great riding. I do have to say Honda does make the complete bike, comfortable, handling, balance, power, long term longevity! Some think just cause another bike has 1/2 hp more, or $500 bucks cheaper it’s the better deal, think again👍 Be safe!
@TokyotimTech5 жыл бұрын
I live in Thailand and since this is a Thai made bike they are everywhere. You can’t import in used bikes and new Euro bikes are double the price at a dealer. This is a great bike and with some mods can be a ton of fun. Yes it’s heavy and yes it doesn’t have much power but you wouldn’t believe what I see these bikes put through over here on daily rides with my friends. They’re bulletproof and they’re so cheap. All over the place here for 2500$ with maybe 6000 miles on the clock

That's awesome! Glad to hear they are being put to good use. I am still in love with mine.

Attention Deficit I have a ton of good footage from my CRF250L but I have been too lazy to get it edited for my channel. I’ve dunked that bike, dropped that bike, flipped that bike, and everything else under the sun in the Thai jungle it just keeps on tickin. It does need some mods from stock but for a beginner/intermediate bike it’s a great start

Great deal on the 250! I like the Grom and all, but I think this is where it's at. You'll have WAYYYY more fun on something like this. Yeah, it's a little under powered, but I've honestly had some of the most fun on small bore bikes. I would keep it, esp. for what you paid for it. Seems to be in good condition and like you said, it's easy to maintain. I don't like the painted bits, I agree with ya on that, maybe get them back to stock. It seems like it is reasonably quite, I'd keep it that way too. When you're blazing some new trails or exploring, stealth is your friend. Glad to see you're out there having fun on this thing, can't wait to see more. Oh yeah, almost forgot. Seat Concepts makes the BEST aftermarket seats I think. Had one on my FZ09, huge improvement. They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Keep rippin' bud!
@AdventureDaily6 жыл бұрын
Thank you and it is definitely more my style but I still have a blast on the Grom and probably will never get rid of it! I definitely plan on keeping it for awhile but if I do sell it I will upgrade to something else, seat concepts definitely knows what they are doing that's for sure. Thanks as always!

Do yourself the favor. Tune it. Open up the air box. Cut a nice hole in it and do a full exhaust. Fmf. Much more smoother power. Of course it will need to be tuned which took me maybe an hour and it was a whole new bike. Still got 69 mpg on average. And topped out at 96 on a good day.
@AdventureDaily5 жыл бұрын
I'm happy with it in stock form honestly. I sink it in water a lot so cutting a hole in my airbox probably isn't a good idea😂

If the CRF250L is a beginners bike.....then you're one hell of a beginner. Its a very capable bike....power isn't everything. I would rather have super reliability than super power, since most of my riding is out in the wilderness (BC, Canada). There are people with more expensive bikes that can't ride worth sh$t. I could purchase the CRF450L for cash tomorrow if I wanted to....I have an accounting practice (taxation specialist). I can understand purchasing a $12,000 street bike.....but not a $12,000 dual sport, which you're far more likely to drop. I have dropped my 2016 CRF250L at least four times. I would kick myself a lot harder for bailing on a CRF450L. Further more, the CRF450L requires FAR more frequent maintenance service. Even though I'm a bigger guy (6 foot 4, 210 pounds) I'm very pleased with my CRF250L....it handles like a downhill bike. Honda should have made a bike more comparable to the WR250R....a 300 cc motor with a sub 300 pound wet weight....I would buy it tomorrow without hesitation. I would buy the WR250R if it didn't look so aged and apparently it has been discontinued - correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, back to work.

Nice man. Congrats. Alot of people hate on them cause yeah the WR250 does have more of a hit of power to it, hut Honda's bikes have never been about power anyway. Plus they make a big bore kit for it that punches it out around 300-320cc if memory serves me correct. Not that the Yami won't, but you can beat on that thing and it will last forever and at least it's not as gutless as the klx250 😂

Keep it I was looking to get one then looked at how many trails are gone now do to houses being built on old farm land where I live so I got a gom to play with keep up the videos and will you take that on the next group grom ride.

I probably will for a bit, and yes trails are rare to come by I've resorted to riding new development sites and random urban spots I find, I might take it on a Grom ride sometime but I would rather be on the Grom if that is what everybody else is riding.

What part of the country are you in? Just curious because looks like you've got some fun riding right in your backyard.

How many acres do you have to ride on? Looks like such a perfect amount of land to ride like that

If you’re even contemplating a different dual sport, I’d have to say the flip should happen.

It's up for sale right now! If it doesn't sell I am more than happy with keeping it.

It was fun watching you ride it, it's no 701 enduro ;) but I'd say keep it. Looks like with your wheelie skill you can get a lot out of it. Also the tune on that bike seems to give it descent power.

Glad you enjoyed it! I agree I might keep it around for awhile. It sure does! Thanks for watching!

Most underrated dual sport/SM? Idk about that, they've been a really popular bike in recent years, both the 250's and the 450's.

Hey man, new sub here; love the content! Wondering if I could get your opinion on a couple of other bikes and if the CRF250L is really the best beginner dual sport. I was thinking about looking into getting the following: -Suzuki DR200S -Kawasaki KLX250 -Yamaha XT250 Looking for nothing too crazy, just some around-town fun here and there. Also trying to keep the price below 3k, preferably. 2700 was definitely a steal for this one! (Watched the whole way through man, your videos are super entertaining and easy to watch, keep it up!)

Been on all except the DR200S, I own the XT but my buddys have KLX's and a CRF. The KLX and CRF are very comparable with the way they ride and feel, the XT feels a bit more Mechanical in the shifting and just a more classic style which I prefer. I would imagine the DR is very comparable to the XT in terms of the aircooled engine and feel.. Can't go wrong with any of them. Check out some of my vids on the XT to see what it is capable of!

I'm dying to know if you can swap a 450 motor in there. I'd never do it because of the maintenance schedule. But it would be cool.

I'm sure you could! Like you said it wouldn't make much sense anyways that's one of the advantages of the 250L👍🏻
