Without any limbs, the animations are really smooth for the NES. You can get it on Famicom Switch Online from the Japanese eShop. EarthBound Beginnings the the first game in the EarthBound series. Although it's the least popular, it has its own retro charm and great music and sprites. It follows a lot of the same mechanics and plot used in the next game, EarthBound. You can play it on Wii U Virtual Console, the game originally went translated and localized but unreleased internationally.

Nice to hear Little Nemo getting some love! It was always one of those other games you'd rent well getting a multi deal. I think that was always a good way to find something different. Rent something you know then rent something you don't. That way if it did suck you had a back up plan! One of those random games was "Crystalis" by SNK. It's one of those that I often suggest when someone wants something like Zelda or Star Tropics, but different. Like Zelda for it's style of game play, and like Star Tropics for involved plot and RPG elements. Really it does actually have a lot of it's own elements to make it a great title. Set in a future world after the great nucular apocalypse in the year ... 1997 ... yup! It is set in a fantasy setting but it does toss in some techno stuff that takes the plot in strange areas. They did do a GBC remake that tried to work out the plot a little, and not mixed reviews because of it. Well my post could go on about others, but I might save those for any future revisits to this topic!

You should check out Snow bros Its a very similar concept to bubble bobble, but its much better. You play as two snowman and the objective is to freeze your enemies by throwing ice on them, once they are frozen they turn into a snowball and you can kick them to kill more enemies kinda like the shells in Mario. The nes and sega genesis are the best each for their own reasons, nes is easier and slower and has time trial mode which is a fun little diversion after beating the game and the sega Genesis is more fast paced and hard and it has 20 additional floors, hard mode and a plot twist in the story once you beat the first 50 original levels from the nes version.
