Thank you for highlighting KD's slashing, which is perhaps the most unappreciated feature of his game, and sadly lost to injuries and age. I remember when he first got to GS, defenders would try to run him off the line the way they would Steph or Klay...only for him to drive all the way to the hoop and dunk over whatever hapless defender tried to stop him.

One of the reasons why I keep coming back to your videos is the actual thought and analysis you put into your videos along with the narrative approach. Lots of creators index too heavily into one side of the spectrum. Adding narrative and context like “pre-jones fracture KD” having similarities to Giannis puts it into perspective for fans who didn’t watch nba back then and also for long time fans who may have forgot how athletic young KD was. Then explaining your assumptions at 4:20 around his catch and shoot numbers makes it easy for us to bridge the mental gap that he’s been effective in c&s for his whole career even though there’s only been data in the past 10 years

He’s always believed that all u need is two or three stars to win and all other players on the team should be cones who has one role to pass the ball to him. That’s why he got into a fight with Draymond because he clearly disrespected Draymond and didn’t appreciate that the warriors offence was based on Draymond. If he was given the sheer magnitude of shots that Kobe was getting in those few years after Shaq left and LA were trash he'd for sure have score lines like that. Virtually all of Kobe's celebrated scoring games happened during this period because he's one of the best ever all alone taking all the shots. KD never had that. By his third season he had Russ, Harden and Ibaka on his team and ever since then he's always played on teams with great players so he aint going to get 28 shots a game like Kobe did in 05-06. But he's for sure one of the most efficient high volume scorers to ever play the game. In the finals for instance KD has averaged 30.3ppg on 55% from the field, 45% from 3 and 91% from the frethrow line. That doesn't get talked about enough because those are straight savage stats on the biggest stage. Kobe has 25.3ppg on 42% from the field, 31% from 3 and 85% from the line in the finals.

Luka or Jokic as scorers & why?
@Christo_Trismegistus3 ай бұрын
Luka has a deeper bag and will score more, Jokic is more efficient and doesn't care about scoring as much
@shaft90003 ай бұрын
Luka has more moves but I give the mental/emotional edge to Joker and for that alone I'd rather build a team around him.

KD is probably the best 1v1 basketball player of all time. Imagine trying to guard a 6'11 guard who can shoot, slash, and handle and also trying to score on a fast 6'11" defender with a 7'5" wingspan.

Better scorer in 2024 Jokic or Embiid?

Embiid

Embiid for scorer prolly

embiid easily.

Jokic cause Embiid can't play a full season. Embiid might score more but dude is not going to play a full playoff series or full season
@shaft90003 ай бұрын
Good question. Embiid is the better choker and ducker, that much is for sure.

that would be either Carmelo or Kobe, KD doesnt get to the line enough or attack the basketball enough. love kd tho hes definitely a top 3 scorer ever tho

@@HoopVenuenot Kobe, both there career highs for free throw attempts per game is 10.2 with Kobe taking slightly more for his career. You’re right about melo though.
@prezian13123 ай бұрын
@@abtocool6350 yeah he got to the line way more the melo did and was more efficient. I’m still confused why people think melo is a better scorer when kd is better at everything. Melo has better post skills though. I heard many online say because melo has many moves he is the better scorer. The truth is Kd doesn’t need to many moves because his length and size though he did add new moves to his game as he got older.

In my opinion, KD is the greatest scorer of all time. He’s to unstoppable. He can do everything a guard can do at 7’0
