The mysterious poles at Bovenkarspel-Grootebroek: Amsterdam - Enkhuizen VIRM 3900 3/9/2022

Recently there has been considerable pruning at Bovenkarspel - Grootebroek station and since then dozens of concrete piles have been clearly visible from the train. In the beginning of this video I explain why those poles are there.

Onlangs is er flink gesnoeid bij station Bovenkarspel - Grootebroek en sindsdien zijn er tientallen betonnen palen goed zichtbaar vanuit de trein. In het begin van deze video leg ik uit waarom die palen daar staan.

Thanks, Vincent, for another top video of your beautiful country. I felt like I had come to the Gruten broek (sorry for spelling or whatever) station from Enkhuizen direction another time. I obviously forgot it was a terminus at Enkhuizen. I have said to Stefan, your NS colleague, our Podiatrist is a Van Den Broek and I found out it means a tailor or big trousers or something hehe. A beautiful day and lovely scenery as usual.

I was born in Buffalo, New York and grew up in the aptly named German-American suburban community of Hamburg, New York. My Grandparents came to the USA from Germany. In Buffalo USA the most common ancestry groups there are German (13.6%), Irish (12.2%), Italian (11.7%), Polish (11.7%) ( a community of 20,000 Poles and many maintaining their language and customs) and English (4.0%). Before entering ths US Navy I lived in the City of South Buffalo, New York. I went to several of my friend's Polish weddings. From all the strange happenings at those weddings, I can understand your opening. Yes, we had a large number of mysterious Poles. So, I liked and could relate to this video's opening, Señor Cabview. @@UHarshanBlackBoy1995 In principe niet. Er is een verschil tussen stoptrein- en intercitymaterieel. Stoptreinen hebben bijvoorbeeld meer deuren, en zijn meestal enkeldeks, om het in- en uitstappen sneller te laten verlopen.

Is het niet verwarrend om twee soorten seinen op de route te hebben? Ene sein heeft groen als bovenste lamp, andere sein heeft groen als middelste lamp. Ik betrapte mezelf erop, dat ik dacht dat er een oranje sein aankwam (middelste licht brandde), maar het bleek groen...

The "Where" is a former small river, now a canal, in the town of Purmerend. The station is situated, as seen from the town centre, at the "other side of the Where", in Dutch "over de Where", shortened "Overwhere".
