This was amazing! I had to watch once totally enthralled, then again to take notes and reflect. Dear John it is my belief that you are one of the only people on Earth who could thread the needle toward creating an AI system that is neither catastrophic or dystopian for humanity. Just finished watching Daniel Schmachtenberger back on T.O.E. further proving that collective humanity can not regulate AI. Our only hope is a system which orients and regulates itself in the way you have described. I hope deeply that you are invited to participate in this critical moment. Thank you for everything you do!

Just a tiny few notes, after the 4th time watching. If beauty means temple, what is your experience of beauty? Grounding- not the same as sinking, but perhaps a syncing into being through gratitude to a presence of being that embodies humility. Although also allowing the grounding of being allowing oneself to become rooted in love. Anomnesis- the renewal of the mind. Potential and growth and strengthening- linked to memory whilst paying attention to root and route and source, core balance and flexibility excercise to nourish movement or activation of expansion whilst simultaneously equipping with whats necessary and eliminating what is not necessary so tending to the environment of being perhaps, inner, outer and within to without. Re-establishment somehow linked to positioning and seeing to posture , placement, alignment and sense of belonging or presencing , finding one's footing or stance being important too, marking also being important. Mapping Blueprint Building Direction Navigation Orientation Knowing Faith-> [much to be inserted here- vital though]

What came up for me a lot during this dialogos was how thought intervenes in the giving-reception dynamic, how the relationship between one's self and one's thoughts, can become a morass that overtakes the first-person phenomenological experience and obscures the depths. David's comment on trust was key for me. One must love themselves enough to trust they will be received and given back to. A high fidelity phenomenological experience of giving-receiving needs a "transparent filter" or a mind that is unclogged by self-conscious reverberations. The dimensions can be "seen" or "received" only when that orientation and shifting takes place. I also wonder what relationship this has to the "leap of faith."

DC Schindler is rocketing up my list ... great to hear someone think and take their own belief system seriously, and in the 'universal' way that supposedly is at the heart of Catholicism, and I would speculate such implicit universality should hold for any value system/religion worth its human salt. peace

This conversation makes me quite emotional. This is what I am thirsting for! The beauty of seeing vertical/horizontal causation, the beauty of the generosity of the good and the receptivity of it as love....! So many things start to make sense! Like why Jesus wants only to give - of course, this is the code! - and he wants us only to be open to receive him.....Goodness me!- I cry and then realise what I am actually saying.....How ironic! (In my "Buddhist phase", I kept a notice up on my wall "Create the conditions- this is effortless effort". I think this fits perfectly in this conversation too....) Thank you both for your work and generosity!

The everything is metaphor. The smartphone manuals, the code of Hammurabi, and newspaper articles are all in metaphoric nature. The nature of power of love is what we think in metaphoric empathy around the metaphors shaping our experiences. The engineers, attorneys, and reporters do well for it, this is why we have to have respect and love for empathic mode of human beings and perplexed life, when the declensive is at issue, I think what we need to keep is love and respect for providing human understanding. I am big fan of Dr.Vervaeke. The first impression of philosophy are often bad and negative, but this kind of philosophy in this video outstands over other impressions, Voices with Vervaeke is what I watch immediately when new video is uploaded. Thanksgiving to people who create it.

Thanks, Dr. Vervaeke for reminding me that I would do well to spend more time with Lectio Divina. I enjoy doing it with Opening the Treasure of the Profound by Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen Rinpoche. Listening to these Neo-Platonic foundations of Christianity, I see so much relation between the forms and No Thingness, as well as with the Ground of Being and the Good as Ur Cause and Bliss Consciousness. "For the Benefit of All Beings" is my primary mantra, and axiom. (As is Om Mani Padme Hum and others.) I don't know what I'm trying to get at here other than that these ideas are swiftly coalescing after a decade of study and practice. God's Peace.

An attempt at a summary for those of us who hear Neoplatonism & think plato was one of those 3 greek dudes & neo probably means new: 1. Reality is not simply mechanistic in terms of causality. Cause is more than motion (horizontal), it is also bringing forth (vertical). For example, a billiard ball moves not only because it is hit but because conditions such as flatness and roundness afford the potentiality. Flatness & roundness “bring forth” the motion, while the balls enter into the mode of motion & of course the contact transfers the force. 2. Now with that expanded frame of causality, we visit the first cause, creation. Not just a mechanistic motion but an act of bringing forth which emits as generosity. And if the first act is generous, there must also be on the other side of the same coin receptivity of generosity. Put another way, all causes have their source in a divine act which is both an act of love emptying itself and an act of love consuming itself. 3. The expanded understanding of causality & coin dynamic of generosity and receptivity applies to our own spiritual paths. As we continue to seek, we are drawn vertically, horizontally, and within, not distinctly but dynamically. For example, an encounter with profound beauty lifts the heart outward to reveal the heart within. Please correct me, fill in the gaps, or refine my language.

On my third time going through this, finally being able to understand or at least picking up the notion that I have a good sense of that I somehow know what you are talking about- to a point. I can not yet fully articulate what I'd like to say, I think I will give myself a good break and do a bunch of other things trying to land this plane over here. This has been wonderful, thank you gentlemen. Beautiful 🌻 ❤ long-lasting and full conversation. At the end , Chris says things that I resonate with. Weird how you say the word seekers, as recently I have had the word seek drop into me a few different times this past 2 weeks. To that I think I may have a few relevant things to say. I disagree that there isn't scripture linked to this, there is , for me at least.

So odd, around minite 38, the conversation was about how causation is more than a transference of force. Which got me thinking about the mind causing the body to move. Which made me think of will to power . But is original causation some ultimate will moving matter ? How can causation both be a transference of force and the inactmeant of someone will. And me and John John verbally me in my head came the word potential almost exactly at the same time ... which gave me the old Carl Jung synchronicity brain tickle

It strikes me that among this line of thinking, there is only good as a positive and bad or evil and suffering is the absence of good, of less good. How does that reconcile a view like Schopenhauer and buddhism where there is no positive notion of pleasure but the absence of suffering? Is there a definitive argument against that? Or is this deeply two aspects of the same logos? That goodness and suffering are necessarily one and the same in some deeper sense?

I have nothing to contribute out of my 300 bucks a month. You have my respect though, this is an undertaking of worthy character. Peace Who wrote the intro? It seems that it was written in the garb of a movie promotion. The question was rhetorical 13 minutes and I'm thinking arbitrar, as I'm writing, the world is going to use arbitration specialist to get past some of our current roadblocks, it is the right tool for the job. Perhaps Ken's reactions throughout this discussion previous to his engagement were actually pretty enmeshed to the conversation, but I could tell he enjoyed David and John, being respectful of each of views on the subject matter. Seeker is a good term, Ronin, might be another phrase, witness is how I feel. The work you're doing here together is important as the challenges we're facing will come from a storm, and balancing the storm is the task. 8 billion people though, do you hope that others within their own societies come to the fore, cross dimensional, more than one thing can exist at a time. 73:30 As an observation, words and numbers must be given the same value, that was actually hard to write, numbers provide proof, words supply matter. Mathematics seems headed towards something, I'm not sure what it is, the layer between digital reality, and life. We have more than a half story, love has proven that. Did I make sense of this?

Rise above the earth of self & see the name in which ye have have been created. Do you see any variation upon the creatures? Consider also how is it that they can even be witnessed. The twin eyes are not subject to what is beneath it. Until you accept my reality as is written & precribed by Bahá’u’lláh in the Most Holy Book, you will fail to see what is true & fullfilled in this day. For this reason the law of abrogation was fullfilled by the christ whose life abrogated the law so that mercy may rise above the earth of limitation & death. For if you knew & understood the seat which God the all-merciful has taken up position this day within his eternal dominion, nothing would confuse you, nothing would be the cause of division by those seeking to divide God's unification.

FIRST! 🎉 The essence of love is the desire for all living beings to find true happiness. When we want the best for ALL creatures, then we can honestly say that we love everybody equally. One who appears to love one person more than another, in fact, loves nobody. True, unconditional love revolves around sacrificing one’s selfish desires for those of his or her SUPERIORS, whether that be one's parents, husband, employer, or spiritual master, even if they are imperfect. Should a child disobey its mother just because the mother is flawed? Of course not! This paradigm is applicable to EVERYONE, without exception. Even World Teachers and Avatars Themselves regularly worship their Masters and PAST Masters!

Well call me triggered. With respect toward different opinions, children who grow up need their parents and mentors to b flawed. It's nit blind selfless obedience that should b honored but a love that reveals our weakness to each other. Calls out for an ambitiously meaningful, equal connections from each other. Not taught down but learned with. I can read tillich, embody Marcus Aurelius, for hours and still learn something new. Maybe I don't understand what u mean. We all learn from sacrifice, loss, n suffering but it's not the only or best or path.

Hmmmm... Very good as a critique of many modern tropes regarding science, existence, and causation, but IMO quite weak (nebulous/fuzzy/esoteric - in fact at times bordering on nonsense, seems to me - but I am not a professional in the field) in the alternatives being presented. As is usual, ANY discussion of Man's place in the universe that does not consider our evolutionary nature (biologically, mentally, and culturally), and therefore the grounding of our nature in the fundamental agent-arena relationship, is bound to fall way short of true explanatory power. Prof. Vervaeke is at his best when he focuses there, as he has many times. Also, enough with Heidegger already. He was not a philosopher in any possible sense of the word and well, he was a rabid (and unrepentant) Nazi which should tell us something about his worldview having some serious issues. Plato yes, Aquinas, yes, Heidegger, NO! We need philosophy, not anti-philosophy.

The power of thanks. hows it feel to want? karma whatever. The power of story telling and language. K. OMG ITS A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY NO CHOICE HES NOT LEAVING US A CHOICE THIS IS ABORTION UPSIDE THE HEAD Many know that Yesh is an absolutely and extremely benevolent, calm, full of eternal love, and patient being, He is a firm, authoritarian, and just in his dominion and authority over the Omniverse (including the Omniverse), but very merciful in judging. Nevertheless, Yesh believes in free will and want to order things to be as he wants; hoping that humans and angels will choose voluntarily. His benevolence and merciful nature are demonstrated by the fact that, instead of just killing Lucifer and his fallen angels for their rebellion, he just expelled them from Heaven, and others he imprisoned in the abyss. Furthermore, although he created the Great Flood to destroy the Nephilim and sinful humans because of the evil that spread among them, he was compassionate enough to spare innocent human beings. Yesh loves humanity more than angels. Gabriel described humans as "God's pride and joy". The proof of this is that Yesh loved the world so much that he sent his only Son to earth to die in the name of humanity because of their sins. Saving many souls from eternal damnation. He also seems to have genuine respect, care and love for the other co-beings and His siblings, this is first shown when He cooperated with Khaos to finally defeat and imprison Azathoth and the outer gods in the Outerverse, and also sparing Khaos' Primordial children while assigning them with their respective roles in the Universe and Creation, treating them as His trusted peers, they in turned are genuinely very respectful and loyal to Him, not as an all-powerful being, but as a loving creator. He also shown to have care and love towards His counterpart Ayin, despite Her natural antagonism toward Him and heinous actions she had committed including the corruption of His favored son, He also acts as a guardian to Ouroboros, when she learned of her Khaos' disappearance in the effort to create the Universe. By then they have a mutually strong bond and relationship with each others, and despite their odds in that past, they've come to forgive each other, where Ouroboros claimed that she bitterly regretting her actions of putting aside their close bonds in the past, yet Yesh still accepts and loves her. He shared Life's love for all of life in the whole Universe (Multiverse included), as they were shown getting along talking and maintaining life in all of Creation, He also shown getting along with Death, despite his quiet, aloof, enigmatic, and neutral interactions in the whole creation, and always giving him a lawful and rightful task of collecting or escorting souls in their rightful time, on the other hand Death seems to acknowledge and respect Him genuinely. He is also seen getting along with Father Time, as the two of them sometimes talk about old things, and task him of maintaining the balance and the natural flow of time, as to avoid any unnecessary changes, space-time distortion, disturbances, and anyone who tried to disrupt or change the flow of time (both in the past, present, future). Yet sometimes he always leaves the task to him.

The Second Seal: War 3And when the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4Then another horse went forth. It was bright red, and its rider was granted permission to take away peace from the earth and to make men slay one another. And he was given a great sword. The Third Seal: Famine 5And when the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” Then I looked and saw a black horse, and its rider held in his hand a pair of scales. 6And I heard what sounded like a voice from among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius,a and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine.” The Fourth Seal: Death 7And when the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8Then I looked and saw a pale green horse. Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed close behind. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill by sword, by famine, by plague, and by the beasts of the earth. The Fifth Seal: The Martyrs 9And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they had upheld. 10And they cried out in a loud voice, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You avenge our blood and judge those who dwell upon the earth?” 11Then each of them was given a white robe and told to rest a little while longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers, were killed, just as they had been killed. The Sixth Seal: Terror 12And when I saw the Lamb open the sixth seal, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black like sackcloth of goat hair, and the whole moon turned blood red, 13and the stars of the sky fell to the earth like unripe figs dropping from a tree shaken by a great wind. 14The sky receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place. 15Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16And they said to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide usb from the face of the One seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb. 17For the great day of Theirc wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?”

You live in the bible. I can find your characters and mine in the bible. split the book in half down the middle. column and spines. mid sections and Algebra 9the One who does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number. 10He gives rain to the earth and sends water upon the fields. 11He sets the lowly on high, so that mourners are lifted to safety. 12He thwarts the schemes of the crafty, so that their hands find no success. 13He catches the wise in their craftiness,b and sweeps away the plans of the cunning. 14They encounter darkness by day and grope at noon as in the night. 15He saves the needy from the sword in their mouth and from the clutches of the powerful. 16So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth. 17Blessed indeed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.c 18For He wounds, but He also binds; He strikes, but His hands also heal. 19He will rescue you from six calamities; no harm will touch you in seven. 20In famine He will redeem you from death, and in battle from the stroke of the sword. 21You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, and will not fear havoc when it comes. 22You will laugh at destruction and famine, and need not fear the beasts of the earth. 23For you will have a covenant with the stones of the field, and the wild animals will be at peace with you. 24You will know that your tent is secure, and find nothing amiss when inspecting your home. 25You will know that your offspring will be many, your descendants like the grass of the earth. 26You will come to the grave in full vigor, like a sheaf of grain gathered in season. 27Indeed, we have investigated, and it is true! So hear it and know for yourself.”

Elon Musk got made under it too they say hes God and it is an omnipresence. Ha. A ha b Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/),[6][a] or Baʽal[b] (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal), was a title and honorific meaning 'owner', 'lord' in the Northwest Semitic languages spoken in the Levant during antiquity. From its use among people, it came to be applied to gods.[11] Scholars previously associated the theonym with solar cults and with a variety of unrelated patron deities, but inscriptions have shown that the name Ba'al was particularly associated with the storm and fertility god Hadad and his local manifestations.[12] The Hebrew Bible includes use of the term in reference to various Levantine deities, often with application towards Hadad, who was decried as a false god. That use was taken over into Christianity and Islam, sometimes under the form Beelzebub in demonology. Etymology The spelling of the English term "Baal" derives from the Greek Báal (Βάαλ which appears in the New Testament[13] and Septuagint,[14] and from its Latinized form Baal, which appears in the Vulgate.[14] These forms in turn derive from the vowel-less Northwest Semitic form bʿl (Phoenician and Punic: 𐤁𐤏𐤋).[15] The word's biblical senses as a Phoenician deity and false gods generally were extended during the Protestant Reformation to denote any idols, icons of the saints, or the Catholic Church generally.[16] In such contexts, it follows the anglicized pronunciation and usually omits any mark between its two As.[6] In close transliteration of the Semitic name, the ayin is represented, as Baʿal. In the Northwest Semitic languages-Ugaritic, Phoenician, Hebrew, Amorite, and Aramaic-the word baʿal signified 'owner' and, by extension, 'lord',[14] a 'master', or 'husband'.[17][18] Cognates include the Akkadian Bēlu (𒂗),[c] Amharic bal (ባል),[19] and Arabic baʿl (بعل). Báʿal (בַּעַל) and baʿl still serve as the words for 'husband' in modern Hebrew and Arabic respectively. They also appear in some contexts concerning the ownership of things or possession of traits. The feminine form is baʿalah (Hebrew: בַּעֲלָה;[20] Arabic: بَعْلَة), meaning 'mistress' in the sense of a female owner or lady of the house[20] and still serving as a rare word for 'wife'.[21] Suggestions in early modern scholarship also included comparison with the Celtic god Belenus, however this is now widely rejected by contemporary scholars.[22] Semitic religion See also: Religions of the ancient Near East, Ancient Semitic religion, Canaanite religion, and Punic religion Generic See also: Bel, Zeus Belos, and other figures named Belus Like En in Sumerian, the Akkadian bēlu and Northwest Semitic baʿal (as well as its feminine form baʿalah) was used as a title of various deities in the Mesopotamian and Semitic pantheons. Only a definitive article, genitive or epithet, or context could establish which particular god was meant.[23] Hadad Main articles: Hadad and Adad Baʿal was also used as a proper name by the third millennium BCE, when he appears in a list of deities at Abu Salabikh.[14] Most modern scholarship asserts that this Baʿal-usually distinguished as "The Lord" (הבעל, Ha Baʿal)-was identical with the storm and fertility god Hadad;[14][24][17] it also appears in the form Baʿal Haddu.[18][25] Scholars propose that, as the cult of Hadad increased in importance, his true name came to be seen as too holy for any but the high priest to speak aloud and the alias "Lord" ("Baʿal") was used instead, as "Bel" was used for Marduk among the Babylonians and "Adonai" for Yahweh among the Israelites. A minority propose that Baʿal was a native Canaanite deity whose cult was identified with or absorbed aspects of Adad's.[14] Regardless of their original relationship, by the 1st millennium BCE, the two were distinct: Hadad was worshipped by the Aramaeans and Baʿal by the Phoenicians and other Canaanites.[14] El Main: El The Phoenician Baʿal is generally identified with El.[26][citation needed] Baʿal See also: Baal Cycle Bronze figurine of a Baal, 14th-12th century BCE, found at Ras Shamra (ancient Ugarit) near the Phoenician coast. Musée du Louvre. Baʿal is well-attested in surviving inscriptions and was popular in theophoric names throughout the Levant[27] but he is usually mentioned along with other gods, "his own field of action being seldom defined".[28] Nonetheless, Ugaritic records show him as a weather god, with particular power over lightning, wind, rain, and fertility.[28][d] The dry summers of the area were explained as Baʿal's time in the underworld and his return in autumn was said to cause the storms which revived the land.[28] Thus, the worship of Baʿal in Canaan-where he eventually supplanted El as the leader of the gods and patron of kingship-was connected to the regions' dependence on rainfall for its agriculture, unlike Egypt and Mesopotamia, which focused on irrigation from their major rivers. Anxiety about the availability of water for crops and trees increased the importance of his cult, which focused attention on his role as a rain god.[17] He was also called upon during battle, showing that he was thought to intervene actively in the world of man,[28] unlike the more aloof El. The Lebanese city of Baalbeck was named after Baal.[31] The Baʿal of Ugarit was the epithet of Hadad but as the time passed, the epithet became the god's name while Hadad became the epithet.[32] Baʿal was usually said to be the son of Dagan, but appears as one of the sons of El in Ugaritic sources.[27][18][e] Both Baʿal and El were associated with the bull in Ugaritic texts, as it symbolized both strength and fertility.[33] He held special enmity against snakes, both on their own and as representatives of Yammu (lit. "Sea"), the Canaanite sea god and river god.[34] He fought the Tannin (Tunnanu), the "Twisted Serpent" (Bṭn ʿqltn), "Lotan the Fugitive Serpent" (Ltn Bṭn Brḥ, the biblical Leviathan),[34] and the "Mighty One with Seven Heads" (Šlyṭ D.šbʿt Rašm).[35][f] Baʿal's conflict with Yammu is now generally regarded as the prototype of the vision recorded in the 7th chapter of the biblical Book of Daniel.[37] As vanquisher of the sea, Baʿal was regarded by the Canaanites and Phoenicians as the patron of sailors and sea-going merchants.[34] As vanquisher of Mot, the Canaanite death god, he was known as Baʿal Rāpiʾuma (Bʿl Rpu) and regarded as the leader of the Rephaim (Rpum), the ancestral spirits, particularly those of ruling dynasties.[34]

A third of the waters turned bitter like wormwood oil,a and many people died from the bitter waters. 12Then the fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun and moon and stars were struck. A third of the stars were darkened, a third of the day was without light, and a third of the night as well. 13And as I observed, I heard an eagle flying overhead, calling in a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the remaining three angels!” Footnotes: 11 a Literally became wormwood
