Excellent analysis and presentation. It is unfortunate that India was run by self seeking, easy life seeking hypocrites. It is significant that a failed lawyer went straight to Motilal and not to Patel. That decided the post colonial faulty governance of India. India would have been totally different stature today if only Patel had become PM. What to say of a person who opposed the reconstruction of Somnath temple.

I must state, I study Indian history as a hobby, and know exactly what has happened. It is a great pleasure to have someone as articulate and concise to provide this on such an open forum. Thank you. I am of an age that still does not understand KZbin but love and value those who see India as a nation and a country of nationalists bursting to get out of a repressive narrative of Congress Raj.
@prabhuthomas87704 жыл бұрын
@Sunil Thakore You don't understand KZbin?? What's there to understand? You can start by clicking the subscribe button for "Sangam Talks", which is the channel airing this video. Anyways like you, I study Indian history as a hobby. If you haven't heard of the 10-volume series called "The History and the Culture of the Indian people", it is incredible. Everything is written by Indian historians, most of them Sanskritists, working from the primary and secondary sources (which is what Ruchir Sharma said leftist historians NEVER do). I have 4 volumes in my possession, but I just found out recently that the entire volume series is online. If you're interested, I shall direct you to them.

I did not know that Hindu Kush meant "Hindu Killer" in Persian. Shocking stuff. And yet our MEA keeps talking about "civilizational ties" with Iran. The mentality of subjugation is buried quite deeply among Indians. Don't know how long it will take for us to "Get Out" of this sunken place
@prabhuthomas87704 жыл бұрын
@Samyak Dixit It won't take long if there is proper and regular dissemination of information. This CANNOT be the internet. Children need to be exposed to Bharatiya knowledge (literature, philosophy, politics - including military history) on a weekly basis starting from the age of 5 up to 18. We are lazy. We STILL have not convened together as a political movement to decide on the contents of history to be taught in schools. And all pupils must be learning Sanskrit grammar (as one subject out of many) so that they can start reading/learning shlokas and texts gradually over 10 years. Not enough, you might say. Well... it's a beautiful start.
@samyak1284 жыл бұрын
@@prabhuthomas8770 you're absolutely right. Education is the solution to this. My personal goal is to inculcate honesty in the way we read our history. We need to push back against politically motivated obfuscation of our history and teach the truth. That will be liberating to most people. Currently almost every adult Indian knows he has been lied-to about his own history by the education system. And that is damaging. As for the laziness, I do agree we still haven't woken up yet. But I try and look at it from a glass half full perspective - look at how far we've come in 6 years. There's a lot of ground to cover but this is a very young movement overall. Everyday, you can see newer and brilliant voices joining the movement (this video and Ruchir Sharma is a great example). Let's be optimistic and move forward with clarity in our minds. We will prevail. Satyameva Jayate

Hindu-Kush does not mean Hindu-killer; that is Muslim propaganda possibly. Hindu-Kush means Hindu and Kushan dynasty as the Kushans were in Afghanistan and in central Asia originating in Volga Delta in 1st century BC.

Thank you for this information. As an outsider who is an Indophile I can never have the depth of understanding as you all. Hindu thought has spread throughout the world as I'm sure you know. Martin Luther King was inspired by Gandhi. I would say that millions around the world have read and been inspired by the Bhagavad Gita, the words of the Buddha and others. The Hindus gave us the mathematics we know today. Historically, the Hindus take a back seat to no one in moving civilization forward. The idea has been floated the Jesus Christ was influenced by Hindu thought. That would make sense if you read his Sermon on the Mount. However, in the last 100 years we have seen the formation of a neo colonialism or "global elite". They hold secret meetings together in places like Davos and Bohemian Grove in California to decide what their next moves will be. There are no devote Hindus, Christians or Muslims. They're atheists. They decide what's going to happen to the rest of us. They always get to chose who the president of the U.S. is going to be. Trump somehow slipped through. He had never been allowed in, having been deemed a "short fingered vulgarian". Snobs. Anyway, it looks as though the globalist may have their way in 2020. Biden was selected by the globalists. Have you noticed that the chaos in the Middle East has subsided greatly. The U.S. has not initiated or encouraged more wars under Trump. Expect chaos to resume. It's part of the Globalist game plan. Also, the Davos people have chosen the totalitarianists over democratic systems. China is the chosen vessel. India, the U.S. and Israel are to be marginalized by the Globalists. Biden has been bought and paid for. Lets not turn on each other like they want us to, lets turn on them.

How I wish this was taught in school, how I wish that all the 1.3 billion Indians would watch it, but even if I send it to the 200 people I know, only 5 would care to watch it, and only 2 of those 5 would care to understand it. People would rather watch 1.5 hour of some inane movie that makes them feel ashamed of their own culture than this. The current state of India is so tragic in that its natives were kept from the truth, controlled and demoralized, and they neither understand it nor they make an attempt to understand it. Many of them have actually now become the gatekeepers of this neocolonialism, without even comprehending it, and truly believing themselves to be the warriors of the greater good. It is a much sad state of affairs, and I feel frustrated and helpless at the sheer magnitude of this mess.
