Lots of haters in the comments. But how many bands can still tour for almost 30 years since their heyday and sell out venues and arenas? Like them or not, Poison still puts on a great show.
@rkline65Ай бұрын
True. But they are not a touring band anymore. In the past 6 years they’ve done a 6 week tour with Cheap Trick, and 40 shows with Motley Crue and Def Leppard….6 years! And contrary to what everybody says, it has nothing to do with Bret Michaels solo band. It actually quite simple……they don’t like each other. They have enough respect for what they have accomplished as a group to come together every few years at this point, but it’s just business.
@bennyF52Ай бұрын
@@rkline65 I think my point is for all the hate they get, they can still go do a proper arena/venue show type tour and sell lots of tickets and merch, alot of the 80s bands have been relegated to playing one or 2 gigs at the festival type shows each summer

In the 80's i was at my end of highschool when they came out OMG, I think now as i did then they are AMAZING, theusic was fun the videos were fun the live shows even more energetic than any concert i ever saw. Hell i even started playing drums because of Rikki Rocket, i know in videos you can show noat more but Poison videos and concerts got me for hours days in and out teaching myself how to play twitl my sticke stand on my kit still playing and jumping around showboating while playing drums. My Bamd i played in we were all over the place performing like they did. I still love Poison , today saw them live then and on tour with Crue, POISON still has it and am so happy they did that Tour it brought back many Happy memories for me and my wife got to see them for the first time..... The music they made was just freaking fun party music that never gets old..... I hope they do another new album...... Older or not they still got it... Bret, Rikki, Bobby, C.C. LOVE YOUR MUSIC AND STYLE....... OH I also loved the cover they did of Rock n Roll all Nigh and Party Every Day, by kiss, they made that rock anthem even more fun..... ❤

In Toronto our band rehearsed in a big building with 10 floors of warehouse units and all of them had bands in them. U can walk down the hall and hear 10 totally diff kinds of music being played. Was truly amazing just to go to the can. This one group called "I Mother Earth" who would blow in from a Tour, do their thing for 3 months, put out a record n hit the road. During those 3 months slowly you would hear them play riffs from other bands in the Building! Our band which will remain nameless were on the lines of Slayer era Metal. Our Guitarist seriously didn't take kindly to hear them play other band's riffs, he promptly got on the Mic and told them in no uncertain threats what would happen if we heard them playing anything from us.

We had a diskexic cross eyed mountain goat when I was a kid growing up named Milnard, for Halloween we used to dress him up like Bret Michaels with one of Granny's old wig and my Papa's bandana. I remember we'd put this sign around his neck that said 'don't need nothing but a good time', yeah it was a lot of fun but he got hit by a freight train one year god rest his soul. Never did find Granny's wig after that. Anyways RIP Milnard.

The most offensive thing was that headline calling them "heavy metal". Poison is a lot of things,but metal is DEFINITELY not one of them. Def Leppard are more metal than Poison and,in the words of Scott Ian,"Def Leppard are not metal!".

I think most rock stars can’t handle fame especially when it comes quickly when they’re young. Drugs & excessive drinking seems like that gets most bands. Look at allot of the grudge rockers so many committed suicide or died of drug overdoses. Hopefully they can find peace.
