That super bowl was just a result of a guy who knows all his opponents personnel and strengths and weaknesses. There is tape out there of gruden actually participating in drill acting as if he was Gannon playing.. He was imitating Gannons every action and reaction to reads. HE knew the guy like a shrink knows a psycho. After the game you could get interview footage of players saying how gruden was playing as gannon and all the shit he said happened just like gruden said and drilled them on. You had the most dominant defense with insider info. This was gonna be an asswhoopin from go.

Couple strange things about Buccaneers v Raiders superbowl; Raiders starting center disappears on a binge in Mexico. And, according to Jerry Rice, the Raiders practiced a run centric game plan due to the Raiders O line outweighing Buccs D line by several hundred Lbs. They practiced that game plan for 2 weeks. Then, 2 days before the SB game, the coaches change the entire game plan to a passing game.

This absolutely makes sense. When Brown came out with the allegations on Callahan I thought sour grapes. But in my lifetime I have never seen a team so completely unprepared for a big game. Barrett because the fall guy. But why would a coach of a professional football team change the scheme to something that is the oppositions strength two nights before? The Bucs secondary was stellar against the pass. Also to basically upset a key player by this as well. And not changing the Audibles? You have to come away with only two conclusions 1. He threw the game. 2. He was incredibly stupid and did not think about things that are fairy basically intelligent things to do against your old coach.

Agree completely. If you look at the Raiders season they had a run/pass balance. While Rice and Brown were big names, they had a huge OL, and four good backs, Garner, Wheatley, Ritchie, and Zach Crockett. The combination of them pounded at defenses at year. They collectively had a total of 9 carries for 16 yards the entire Super Bowl. That's it. That's all the more the Raiders tried to run the whole game. Stupidest game plan in NFL history. Or Callahan didn't give a crap. One or the other, or both.

As an Oakland native, I was 18 when this happened. As someone who just got into football, I just knew that the Raiders would change up the game plan and run the ball. Charlie Garner and Tyrone Wheatley. The run game was cold. I knew it was a problem when they said Adam Treu was starting at center. I hope Barrett gets the help he needs. Bipolar 1 is no joke. Plus the trauma of football, it's like a ticking time bomb. Good luck Mr. Robbins...I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 just three years before that Superbowl. Things didn't turn out so well for me either. I completely understand. Family aren't so willing when you can't help them out and you need the help yourself. That’s exactly what Brown, Rice, Ritchie and Garner are saying. Callahan’s not the first to hate where he works despite the great pay. For you to solidify what these four men claim is a conspiracy theory, you’ll need to establish a strong rationale for completely changing the game plan the night before the game- something the whole team never said they did under Gruden or Callahan. The burden of proof is in your shoulders, not the four players above, two who were the best to ever do it. You don’t get credibility over any of them.

I always felt Callahan didn't want to win that game and I didn't know the part about him changing the game plan a couple of days before the game but what I found most strange about the time of game that Robbins was banned from the game and pretty much kicked off the team. I was like OK he went out on a binge but if he is able the play just don't start him. He play a vital role in the success of the Raiders that season making it to the probowl and I felt it odd that you would dismiss a player of his caliber like that. I mean look at Eugene Robinson of Atlanta got arrested the night before the Superbowl for prostitution and still started the game. It didn't make any sense to me why they treated Robbins so poorly when it was obvious that he needed help. Also learning about his bi-polar condition means the Raiders knew of it during the year. You would think a play of that caliber would be getting help all season. I really think Callahan didn't want to be there. Regardless of what happened, I think it's pretty damning when the best players come out and say their coach intentionally sabotaged a game. I was in a situation where my team lost a huge game once and a lot of it had to do with a last second change to our game plan against a team we'd beat earlier in the year. To this day, all the players on that team blame the coach for this abrupt last minute change, we as captains even cautioned him against it but he did it anyway. But NEVER has anyone suggested that our coach did it on purpose so that we'd lose. So the fact that guys like Brown, Rice, Garner, etc. believe that to be true, I think that's about a big of an indictment as a coach can have against him.

He got upset with me during the game when I said to him “the Raiders are throwing this game”, he was pissed that I alleged that the Bucs weren’t winning fair and square. But it was super obvious to me that TB was jumping routes even before players were making cuts in a way that suggested they knew beforehand what a certain play was and where the ball was going to be going. When I heard Tim Browns allegations a ways back, I then knew I was right. Oakland played that game completely out of character.

Let's keep it a Buck, Tony Dungy assembled that Tampa team, and for some reason, the Front Office went with Gruden. I think it was Shannon Sharpe would pointed out that during Gruden's days at ESPN, he had never chosen a Quarterback that has went on to be a winner. What Sharoe is saying Gruden really doesn't have a eye for talent at specific positions. Upon landing in Tampa Bay, all the Chess pieces were assembled, remember Tony Dungy apprenticed under Chuck Noll, then moving through the NFL until he landed with Dennis Green, then on to Indy, and a Super Bowl win with The Sheriff Peyton Manning.

Like when your basketball and someone spots you points. The fact is that Dungy had already made them a SB contender so all you have to do is let my 5 year old nephew become head coach and the results is the same. The problem was that they didn’t want to give a black man that glory. So that’s part of the rigging of the SB besides this video. Cause what happened to the bucs after that, no more Playoffs, SB or anything while he was there. He can say as much racist shit as he wants but he owes his ring to a Blackman.

The NFL hates the Raiders. Al out commissionered Rozelle prior to nfl/afl merger. Al had a better business model for the AFC, better TV contracts, better ratings, better crowds, was taking marquee players from NFL who didn't want to pay them what they were worth... Lamar Hunt and other AFL owners made a deal with Rozelle behind AFL Commissioner Davis' back. The AFL basically had the NFL by the balls pre merger and weasel Hunt screwed it all up. There has been bad blood ever since. Is Gruden collateral damage from this longstanding fued? I wouldn't doubt it. Al and Jon had many conversations about this history, this bad blood. I, personally wouldn't go so far as to say "The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' victory at Super Bowl 37 was rigged!". Yes, I like the Oakland Raiders & was surprised to have seen them lose in a seemingly classic Super Bowl, but, that's not the reason as to why I say that. Jon Gruden knew the Oakland Raiders inside & out & looking at it in hindsight, Super Bowl 37 was pretty much over before it even started--horribly for the Oakland Raiders & positively for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, respectively. #JonGruden #OaklandRaiders #TampaBayBuccaneers #SuperBowl37 #NFL #Mikerophone

@Malone 3:16 These are deflections, intentional deflections so that you stay mad at a specific player/coach/team, instead of realizing the NFL as a whole is one organization, with one goal TO MAKE MONEY. Im sorry if you are too simple minded to catch this, the known "cheaters" are still playing/coaching/ part of the league. WHY if we are going to act as if everything is based on fairness, would known/suspected cheaters be allowed to continue to play?

People love to blame refs, refs employed by the NFL...but the NFL couldnt possibly be involved in the changing of outcomes right? Then they'll say a specific team is cheating....still part of the NFL, you'll say its a specific coach....a coach still part of the league. Im sorry man, at one time it might have been about fairness. Now its about money, and it gets more obvious every year.

This narrator has it backwards. Callahan was switching to a run oriented scheme from a pass oriented scheme. That’s what caused Robbins to flip.
