This is my favorite song of Biggies. His flow, delivery and voice over this mafioso style classic instrumental was so grimey and fits his crime kingpin/mafioso boss persona that he used a lot of in the second half of his career. I loved the singing of the hook. "Hope you creeps got receipts, my peeps get dirty like cleats, run up in your crib wrap you in your polo sheets, six up in your wig piece, nigga deceased, muah, may you rest in peace" My goodness, Biggie was one of the nastiest ever.

One of the greatest hip hop songs in its entire history! For those of us old enough to remember these days as a 21 year old when this came out, the fact this is the last song on the album as his life was taken! RIP BIGGIE Always the GOAT!

Psalm 23:4 -Psalm 23:6: 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

The last verse, the bar when he says “just a memory…!!” That really weighs heavy. As I think about loved ones that has transitioned. That verse (although all not gone by bullets), it hits hard… just a memory! Life!

Every piece of this great track gives the feeling of impending finality! Whenever I hear that quote from the bible at the beginning of the song at a funeral, (if I wasn't crying already), I'll just all of a sudden burst into tears - it could be someone I really didn't care for, I would still cry because of that quote.... It makes the song even sadder considering what actually happened to BIG after this.....

Im not even a fan of this genre of music so to speak. Hip Hop isnt normally my cup of tea. But even as an outsider, I recognize the lyrical genius that he was. He was an unbelievable talent. If we had a few more of these, who knows how huge the genre would be
