Great documentary! And yes, I think that "Niki Lauda's crash" really opened the eyes of the drivers about how dangerous the track could be in the event of a crash. But the old ring was dangerous but skillfully challenging. Brilliant video👍👍

It just took too long for safety personnel to get to an accident. There just wasn’t enough safety personnel there- they needed 5 to 6 times the amount of safety personnel and equipment needed at any other circuit. It’s just really hard to run any series with such strict safety criteria on a circuit as long and huge as the Nurburgring.

How could anyone make a documentary about the Nürburgring and not mention Sabine Schmitt. She was Queen of the Nürburgring. Nobody knew it better and had driven it as many times. She became the most famous name of the track. Or maybe this documentary was made before her time.
