That’s wild…I just ordered a Neo. Don’t tell my wife!

LOL, it's a small price to pay for a ton of fun flying. I hope you get some good weather and some good flights!

My Neo will be here Monday, 🤓.. I've been flying since the DJI phantom 1, I still have a DJI spark a parrot Bebop a DJI mini and mini 2. I'm looking forward to this little drone, can't hide it from the wife anymore. I just claim that it relaxes my PTSD.. Lol😁

I have multiple drones and use to take with me, the Anker Solix C300 DC. It has multiple usb-c HQ ports. DJI batteries discharge themselves when you do not use them, to half capacity, that is why I charge them on the day of use. When the 3rd battery is empty after using the first two, the first is already completely full. The batteries charge with approximately 45 watts, use the original Anker cables of 140 watts.

Hello, thats very nice to know that, thanks. What about storage charge the batteries? I wish it could have some function to do that when we park the drone long time.

Really good video I just got a neo and wanted to know how the hub worked when charging the batteries
@Dronevalley2 күн бұрын
I'm glad you found it helpful! The charging hub is a really neat design for a drone.

Great information about how to better use the charging hub for the Neo. I know about using a 65 watt or better charing brick to charge all three batteries at the same time. But I wasn't aware of the two battery charging routine when using a 20w to 30 watt charging brick. Thanks for sharing Rick.

But he's wrong. 45 watts is all you need.

Is it ok to leave the batteries in the charging hub buddy. As in will they still discharge automatically?

Very interesting and useful information. Thank you for sharing!!! Happy New Year, wishing all the best!

What happens if you left the batteries charged? Does they go to storage charge as some Dji batteries did in the past?
@NaushadARA16 сағат бұрын
Nope they don't. Charged all the three and 3 days later it was still 100%. But I don't know if it will if left more than 3 days.
@rmerino8016 сағат бұрын
@ thanks, so the only way of get them in storage is to cut charge at around 75% or fly the drone for a couple of minutes. Not very useful

You can use a 100W PD powerbank with the hub. It will charge all 3 batteries at the same time quite fast. Fantastic on the GO. And if you have 6 batteries, and 2 hubs you have 0 downtime between flights :D

So...the neo station will use depleted batteries to top off another one?
@DronevalleyКүн бұрын
Nope, right now only the Air 3 charging hub offers that feature. I'm hoping they release a firmware update to add it to other hubs. Stay tuned and I'll post a clip if they do. Rick

I admire your enthusiasm. It’s like you’re racing a Formula One car of information! But maybe ease off the throttle a bit so the rest of us can keep up. Shortly after the 6:00 mark, it felt like even you were trying to catch up with your own words. Thanks for the tips though. Keep it up.

45 watts is all you need for the 3 Neo battery hub - to charge all 3 at once (15 watts each). I m doing this presently. Why are you saying 65 watts? Incorrect info.
@DronevalleyКүн бұрын
Bob, if you check the manual you'll see that you need at least 45 watts to charge all three. Even though you can use a 45W charger, you'll be pushing it to run at it's max while charging. If you already have the 45W charger than of course use it. But if you're buying a new one, the cost difference between a 45W and a 65W is minimal and the larger charger will run cooler. If you find one with dual ports, you'll even be able to charge all three batteries with the hub and the controller at the same time.

Cables are really important. I just git a battery pack, with a regular cable can’t use my charger. Original cable yes!
@DronevalleyКүн бұрын
Most folks think that all cables are the same and there is a huge difference between them. Even the most powerful chargers on the market can only push so much power through a janky cable so always find one that handles at least 65W to be safe.

I use my galaxy 24 adapter and it charges all 3 at one time
@DronevalleyКүн бұрын
Charles, you're all set as that charger is a 45W model. It'll work great with the Neo but struggle a little if you ever decide to upgrade to the Air series. You'll need a 65W charger for the larger batteries. Happy Flying!
