My “one watch” was a steel Date Just for years (if you don’t count my gshocks and apple watch). It was a gift, but if I was buying a one watch watch, it would be the Santos Dumont. Mostly because of the bracelet has a quick change mechanism. And you can wear the steel bracelet, leather, or the rubber. I have two Santos watches, and I wear them all the time . I often choose them over my Rolex, RM, and APs. I really think it’s an underrated watch

As far as Seiko is concerned I'd rather recommend the Presage sharp edge over the cocktail times. They've got sapphire crystals. If you only have one watch, you'll want it to stay nice for as long as you can. Of course it also applies to the Alpinist. Of course you shouldn't have OCD with the latter. The compass bezel getting out of line drove me mad which is why I sold mine.

One gotta ask himself: why do I collect watches? What's the point of this? Is it a form of investment? Am I going to impress my friends or coworkers? Would I feel out of place patting other executives on the back if I didn't wear Rolex? Literally none of this matters. Glad to get some confirmation bias on the Omega Aqua Terra. I just picked up the 41mm with a green dial back in March. I was shopping at a boutique in the US. I asked about the price and a possible discount, they told me they couldn’t do that on a newer model, which the green was apparently. They offered me a free nato, which I wasn’t interested in. I asked if they could do a leather strap, which they agreed to. I was pretty happy with this, as I was planning to buy a leather strap for it anyways. They were able to get me a dark brown alligator strap with the gold over clasp. I couldn’t find this exact combo online, however per the invoice it was $850, which seems ridiculous, the one I was planning on purchasing was $550 online? Anyways, I figured that’s in the ~10% range and I was happy with it. I doubt I’ll ever purchase a true dress watch and felt this was a step up from my BB58, which just never felt right under a suit. Anyways, great video as always! Best of luck with the new baby!

The Aqua Terra was mentioned last, perhaps because she saved the best for last. There is literally an Aqua Terra model for every single human being on the planet, as the Aqua Terra collection is gigantic with more than 130 variations. The model line has at least five case sizes, countless dial colors and textures, different materials including steel, titanium, ceramic, and gold, multiple different types of complications, and endless combinations of steel bracelets, rubber straps, leather, NATO, etc. They could probably discontinue half the Aqua Terra models in their current catalog (and they probably should) and the Aqua Terra would still be the most versatile luxury watch collection on the planet.

First of all, warmest congratulations to you and WatchPapi on the birth of your little one! Regarding the topic of this video, as of today the watch that can suit everybody's needs as only watch IMHO is the new Longines Conquest: 3 different sizes, 2 strap choices, modern and reliable movements, 100m water resistance with screw-down crown for a reasonable price (2k€ in Europe). Compared to the Tudor, it lacks COSC certification and micro adjustment on the clasp but for half the price it's an absolute bargain, even considering that quality is as good as the Black Bay. Ok, It's true that Conquests are "inspired" by Seamaster shades but for a normal person (NOT a watch maniac as gringa community) this is not material at all.

I now own eight watches unless I’ve forgotten some. Not one cost me over US$300 and most were nearer $120. I find myself wearing the same one for months on end. One of the watches is broken, three are radio-controlled Citizen watches (one of which I wore constantly for nearly a decade) that don’t always receive the WWVB time signal broadcast here in south Florida, one is a big clunky Citizen Satellite Wave that listens to GPS satellites but has a cluttered dial that’s hard to read sometimes. Of the rest, I wear a 32mm titanium Certina with a thermocompensated quartz movement good to about 10 seconds a year. Comfortable, so easy to read, and light, just a tad too small (and it’s meant for women so I suppose I’m a transvestite). Really all I need is the Certina and one of the Citizen watches as backup if the battery needs changing. I should sell or give away the rest. They’re all quartz (my automatic Omega Seamaster was stolen years ago) and effectively worthless, but I’m sure a charity shop could get $10 or so for any of them. Maybe the Satellite Wave could fetch a couple hundred on eBay but it’s weird enough to keep.

Thanks for another great video! I loved everything you had to say except I did shave a little bit during the Rolex part. I realized rolexes are aspirational and their designs to the test of time you made perfect points there, but I am not going to pretend I respect Rolex more than I do merely because normies like them, or aspire to them because they don't understand there are better options. And I am going to roll up to the Rolex ad and ask for a discount because the current Rolex ad stuff is toxic. I'd much rather go to a boutique that actually wants to sell me a watch, and once I own said watch I'd prefer if every question I got wasn't about whether or not I'm rich or if it's real. Rolex is a good brand I respect them, but there's a lot about the brand I don't like and that's why I probably wouldn't buy one even if I had the money. Which I do not.

A great candidate would be the Longines Hydroconquest GMT...it's 200M water-resistant, True GMT, also has a diving bezel, COSC accurate, crown action smooth as butter, on the fly micro-adjust, sporty yet dressy. And it's under $3K. By the way, I own 50 watches ranging from $25 to $8K and after watching this excellent video, I just put 5 more on my radar! Lol

My first ever watch, very luckily, was the sbga 443 Grand seiko Shunbun I got on my trip to Japan a couple years ago. It was also my only watch for a while. I loved it. If I wanted it to be dressy, I put on an alligator strap. If I wanted sporty, back to the original bracelet.

Wore a 2015 Tudor Black Bay "black rose ETA smiley dial" for eight years. Sold that last year. Since then, bought 5 new watches. Sometimes, I ask myself, why did I do that? Occasionally, I miss the original 2 watch collection of the BB and my trusty DW5600.

I really like the Presage in DARK blue, green or red (but not pale blue), AND the Alpinist!

Omega Aqua Terra is the penultimate one watch collection IMO! The Black Bag 36 is criminally underrated and the Rolex DJ/OP is the iconic Rolex to own!

Explorer and Submariner are the two one and done options. A small discount is 100% possible on precious metal Rolex's. It's been possible for years IMO.

Big fan! As an hairdresser I’m always wondering if you do your own hair before every episode or you have someone? Because your hair is always gorgeous and looks very professionally done! Keep up the good work! Love your reviews and hair ;)

Great video. For me I think my Tudor BB54 could be the only watch I’ll need

I lived happily for years with one solitary Rolex OP DJ two tone on a jubilee bracelet. Then I became bored wearing the same watch everyday. Now I have a diverse collection of 30 watches. Probably a maximum of three watches to five watches would work for most people but my watch addiction overcomes such logical advice and restraint.

Since I'm a tech geek with zero style, I've maxed out with the G-Shock GMB2100BD-1A. 😂

You're crazy & irresponsible, spending such money on a plastic watch

I have a TAG Heuer Aquaracer 41mm that I’ve had for a few years. Been thinking to get the new Tudor black bay 58 gmt coke.

Another great video, I wish I only had one or even five watches. I have both vintage and modern watches, I spend half my morning trying to choose one for the day. If I may pick at one thing, it’s the filters you have started to use. Something I just don’t enjoy, sorry.
