This episode was so good. Jackson’s death always breaks my heart. It’s so brutal and Hayley’s screams of agony are so chilling. He definitely deserved better. He loved Hayley unconditionally and she clearly loved him. On a different note, Vincent was such a badass this episode. Him flipping that car was so awesome! Don’t worry about Marcel. He is still definitely a main character. There was a lot of characters this season, and there are certain episodes that focus on some more than others. But all the characters get their due this season. Trust me. The second half of the season is incredible.

Jackson was a good person but I was never really the biggest fan of his character. I could never put my finger on why. But even at that, his death was horrifying. A piece of Hayley definitely went with him.

What's hilarious is Aya claiming that Elijah and Klaus would have a hard time fighting all the Stryx members in that room. A severely weakened, half-starved, and recently awakened Rebekah was putting up a good fight against multiple Stryx including Aya. Nicklaus, even defending Cami, and Elijah together would slaughter them all😂.

I think there is no doubt that Elijah and Klaus could/would win in that situation, but it would be messy and with consequences.. Yes, Rebekah dealt with the vampires that were after her but Aya did put up a fight, and it is probably safe to assume that the vampires that came to this confrontation with Aya and Tristan are actually the top of the top of the Strix, all of the much closer to Aya, Shun Ming or Tristan himself that those vampires after Rebekah were. I think the main point of why it was such a good idea for them, even Klaus who is so hot headed, to let Elijah handle the situation is the point you made last about "Klaus, defending Cami", which IMO there is no doubt that Cami would've died even with Klaus protection if a fight breaks out... The reason why even Klaus himself didn't jump into a fight straight away is because he and Elijah knew that they for sure can win against this guys, it would take time and effort but they would be the last standing, but they know that both Cami and Hayley would've ended up dead at the end... With their numbers and strength the reality is that neither Elijah or Klaus would be able to keep them both safe for the entirety of the fight

Every time Elijah fought the Stryx, he was holding back for one reason or another. Be it plotting with Marcel, to information digging, or just not wanting to go full savage mode.

This is the episode where Vincent said eff you to everyone and embraced his power to full potential and we learned the difference between Quarter and Treme witches. The magic that they used to put the glamour on Cami and trap Tristian was perfect. Watching Klaus loving every moment of Elijah’s speech was brilliant. Elijah advising Klaus on allowing Cami the dignity of the choice to live as a Vampire was powerful, and the fact that Cami chose to go to Vincent to turn is an interesting turn of events. Haley losing Jackson was heartbreaking not only because of who Jackson was but what he represented to Haley; he was her last vestige to the purity she had as a wolf. He was her living link to a major part of her humanity and heritage. Hope is still the ultimate link to her humanity but Jackson helped her to not only recognize her ability to lead but how to lead with love. Jackson taught Haley that loving her was not a curse, she did deserve love and acceptance and that the pack never turned their back on her. Having a newly turned Cami whose emotions are all heightened and in over drive its interesting to see what emotions play out as the strongest and why. Don’t worry Marcel is still an extremely important character and his story arc is well worth the wait! This season did not shy away from the reality of what happens to relationships when elements beyond control interfere. The rest of this season is intense but so worth the watching experience!

i love this ep, I want to point out phoebe (Hayley) & Leah's (cami) performances this ep, even joseph they all did so well with their emotional scenes. Hayley's screams as Jackson died are so heartbreaking and seeing cami scared and basically grieving for her own life and the scenes between Klaus and cami were all so well done. Also agree with you about marcel his storyline this first half of the season isn't as great and he doesn't get as much screen time, wish he had more, lastly just wanna say Vincent is the most underrated character on this show, he's such a badass and always stands up for what he believes in even against the originals.

She was a runner and a orphan and she never had anyone who stayed, and he did. He was there not matter what. He loved her with everything in him, and she was happy with him. Elijah is one of my favorite characters but he could never do the same, and I don’t judge him, he has his own family, but Jackson, he was a real one, yk? In real life, I’d want to myself a Jackson more than a Elijah. And considering Elijah is my second favorite character only down to Hayley herself, it’s saying a lot

The writers this season did an incredible job not only writing but foreshadowing where the story needed to go from here. Spoiler*************** The symmetry of Jackson and Haley and the unification ceremony and all that represents leads to such an incredible story line that shows just how much the writers of this show truly thought out what each character and story arc meant and how it needed to play out!

The intro to this episode was so good! One of my favourites scenes in this show for sure. It broke my heart seeing that scene between Klaus and Cami talking and then her lying dead in the bed with Klaus screaming. I really didn't think they would turn her into a vampire. I really didn't think they would kill of Jackson too. That scene was so sad. Hayley screaming made it feel even worse. It really was so chilling. Such a good scene! Poor Jackson really never stood a chance tho, which is sad. He deserved so much more. I feel like Jackson and Hayley worked much more together than her and Elijah for me personally. I understand what you mean with Marcel. He is one of my favourites in the show and it really got on my nerves with how little we got of him and how he was treated most of the time.

I really wanted Hayley and Elijah together for the first 4 seasons but Jackson was a really good husband to her and his death broke me 😭😭🥺 I’m still grieving after years And I really loved Cami the first time I watched the show but after rewarding it multiple times I noticed more of her flaws which sadly made me hate her a bit 😬 that’s why I was able to fall in love with Aurora and what she did to Cami 😛👀
