The Perfect Villains Gotham Knights Never Used

If Deathstroke had been a fourth side mission and I decided to play through the game with each Knight taking one of the side missions like Red Hood with Harley or something, you can bet I would’ve had Nightwing take on Deathstroke

Honestly, one idea I had was to introduce the Riddler as a sort of mentor to the Knights. Have him be dissapointed that there's no one left to challenge him after Batman's death, so he trains the knights by having them solve puzzles at various locations where batman fought other villains and solved mysteries in hopes of getting them closer to being Batman. In his own twisted way, Riddler would be helping the knights just so that he could have a challenge and prove himself to be the smartest man around

I'm still shocked he play much a role in the game, I know we had him all the Arkham games but he just fits the role well in these types of games especially when we have crime scenes and analysing in this game.

Anarky was the villain I wanted the most in Gotham Knights. He is the perfect antagonist for the Court of Owls while also opposing the masked vigilantes as, in his eyes, they’re just another brand of authority. Also 9:55 truer words were never spoken. The idea I had for Scarecrow was having to rescue hostages from a haunted house of his design, but I much prefer your idea.

Same here for Anarky... I loved his role in *Arrow* (played by Alexander Calvert, that *Supernatural* fans will be glad to see) , in which he, during season 4, was simultaneously fighting H.I.V.E _and_ Team Arrow... And I loved his versatility, being skilled with electric batons (Nightwing style), three-sections-staff, Kamas (in season 5 against Green Arrow), flamethrower, and various explosives, Lonnie Machin was a threat on multiple levels. My only complaint is that he was a bit too OP, sometimes taking on 2 and even 3 members of team Arrow at the same time, Green Arrow himself included... and often coming out on top. So when season 5 started (one of the best Arrowverse seasons ever), and the first mission we see Green Arrow in is him curb-stomping Anarky in one of my favorite fight scenes of the entire show, damn I was happy. So yeah, have him as a boss fight too, if Harley Quinn can hold her own against the Batfamily, why not Lonnie?

If I were to add villains (not exclusive to a specific knight, but having each knight in mind) those would be: Anarky and Scarecrow - would play against them as Robin James Gordon Jr. and Maxie Zeus - would play against them as Batgirl. Black Mask and Ventriloquist - would play against them as Red Hood Deathstroke and Saiko - would play against them as Nightwing.

Personally, I would love to add the character Selena Kyle AKA Catwoman: here's how I would probably do the missions. First off the Knights get an alert at a robbery at the local museum obviously a missing cat themed item maybe a cat's eye diamond or a statue. There they see a note that says:" please tell me it's a lie, my little plaything you better not have died on me!" with a series of symbols to tell you for the next location to encounter Selena. Forcing her to give you surprise stealth challenges. But you are never encountering Selena until maybe halfway into the storyline. I would say integrating her into the court of owls incident unless you do it after the storyline then you get an alternate pack where you're dealing with a meeting with a lot of influential people. You see Selena talking with several rich socialites it's now heavily pregnant. The knight believes that she's faking it, thanks to the big time robbery at the museum. This way you have two options you can either interrogate her during the actual mission in the story, we finally get to see a civilian model of the Knight it when it comes to the socialite party and they do their own versions of arguing. In either version of course Selena reveals that she knows who Batman is, with the slight hint of her mentioning possible names for the child! A few more stealth missions and now retrievals. This time Selena giving you a selection of locations where you have to retrieve certain items.(opening chess in the goon squad bases) at any rate each one of these chests contains clues. That leads you to the axillary bat cave at Arkham asylum old building!

Great list of missing characters. Deathstroke desperately needed some form of redemption from what the creative team did to him over in Arkham knight... Anarky was also interesting to hear his monologues in origins so seeing him again after so long would be cool . Scarecrow was one of the best parts of asylum with just all the creepy atmosphere and hallucinations so the knights seeing fears and such would be a cool added touch since in this universe batman is truly dead . I love all the ways each mission would play out and the part they played . Another great video man all around 👏🙌. Love all the arkham / batman game content

Two-Face should've been in GK. Concept art for Harvey out there aside, he's the only villain other than Black Mask that could be leading the Mob. I think a dynamic of Harvey feeling so lost without Bruce as a friend or Batman as an ally & losing himself entirely to the Two-Face inside would be a really interesting dynamic for each of the Knights as their own little message on why it's important that they each keep up their "cover" lives, or risk losing themselves, especially Jason, Dick, or Tim; Jason because he openly says that he prefers being legally dead so he can always operate as Red Hood, Dick because he's now running the Wayne Foundation, & Tim because he desperately needs to take a break so he doesn't work himself to death. Barbara's identity is important too, I just can't think of how. Maybe have a throwaway line about Barbara working for the GCPD as a consultant thrown in earlier & play that up here.

If each Knight where to have 3 seperate side missions with a specific villains in each this is how it would be: Nightwing: Harley Quinn, Deathstroke and Two-Face Batgirl: Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Scarecrow Red Hood: Clayface, Black Mask and Killer Croc Robin: The Riddler, The Mad Hatter and Anarky. These missions would be narrative focused similar to the ones we got

I think it could have been better if there is one more thing after the anarky boss fight with him having escaped somehow (not from prison) but ends up calling on the knights for help from a force which he can not tell and have you have to deal with talons while anarky is hidden up and it being a basic crime that can happen and have anarky say that after he gets out of prison he is leaving Gotham now that he knows the court is real and a real danger to him if he stays

What I like about your Scarecrow plotline is that Dr.Crane essentially trying to preserve the fear Batman inspired. The Gotham Knights are fighting to preserve the memory of Batman's legacy of heroism, which was more than just the intimidation of Gotham's criminals. The simplest explanation for how the level would work would be the strain of Fear Gas specifically being designed to trigger hallucinations based on Batman, resulting in enemies that look like twisted versions of the Dark Knight.

I’m hoping that updates will add dlcs that add other villains and rich stories. I haven’t beaten it yet, but I am enjoying the game thus far and already wish there was more story to be had

I know this probably won't be seen, but Anarky was an anti-hero and friends with (Red) Robin and I really hate that Origins and Arrow that turned him into strictly a villian.

Would you be interested in doing another rewrite of Arkham Knight. Don't get me wrong your rewrite was a thousand percent better than the one we got but it kinda felt like a first draft (and the ending was a little bit out there) but I'm sure a second swing at it would really smooth it out And please for the love of Bat-Cow make Scarecrow the main villain he is terrifying and the scenes we got with him in the original were fantastic just give a chance to do his thing. I have an answer for the Arkham Knight identity problem but it's kinda long so if you want to here it just leave me a reply and I'll write it for you. Even if you decide not to rewrite Arkham Knight again you are amazing keep up the good work 👍

For me this game was supposed to the batman game that brings forward the characters and lore that doesn’t get the spotlight that batman himself and his A list rogues gallery does, i wanted this game to be the Batman game where you not only play as the batfamily rather then batman but also fight villains that never get any attention it would of been so cool if this game rather then giving mr freeze or Harley a side mission gave time to calendar man, killer moth, Jane doe, ventriloquist, clock king, polka dot man literally anyone but the villains we have already seen played out a million times

I know it’s probably a dumb idea but what if a side mission had dead shot or any of dcs notable gun for high characters going after the knight’s because a large sum of money has been put up for grab the characters fight there why through whatever level design bet the villain and the reveal is that part of Bruce death contingency was to put this hit out as like a final bit of train from after the grave

It would be cool if they did something like deathsroke has a sidekick with him and when the sidekick meets the knights he ses he's there to get revenge for the death of his grandfather and takes off his mask and revealing Damian Wayne or going buy Ian Wilson not knowing that batman is his biological father after fighting and capturing Damian they reveal that slade lied to him and through audio logs and files you find out that slade was working with Talia promising him free rain of Gotham city knowing that once batman is dead that they'll need someone to cleanup and exterminate the remaining supervillains and mob families in slade eyes doing what batman didn't have the balls to do and actually finish off his villains but Talia of course betrayes slade so slayed takes baby Damian as a hostage then years later uses Damian to try to kill the knights a bit of a dark joke batmans own son killing his long-lost stepsiblings once Damian finds this out he he goes out to kill slade for lying to him taking pieces of dick Grayson and Jason Todd's Robin suit on the way out once the knights catch up to Damian they help him take down deathsroke and convince Damian not to kill sladetelling him that Robin is meant to be an example for the next generation of heroes once bback, at the base they tell him that they need to undo app the assassin training that slade and Talia thought him so they task him with recruiting and training a group of wannabe vigilantes that rose up after batman death teasing Damian becoming leader of the outsiders
