I stayed in a motel 6 in Montgomery, Alabama with a bullet hole in the door and yet the dry wall was patched and painted. Not good but enough to hide it, but the bullet hole in the door was still open. I went to the front desk to complain, and I ended up just asking for a piece of tape to cover the hole. True story.
@kathyyoung17744 жыл бұрын
Gary Gutierrez I got my money back and walked out of a Motel 6 near Waco, TX, that had a long black straight hair on the sheet when I pulled back the covers. I have very short light curly hair. And the towels felt damp, so they had not been dried (sanitized). Corporate also sent me a coupon for a free night at any Motel 6, and I threw it away.

Once stayed at Days In by Wyndham Red Bluff in CA. Absolutely THE worst motel ever. The sheets were clean but I did not take off my clothes and slept on top of them with my hat on my face to darken the room because the “curtains” were gonna fall if we touched them. Sometimes it makes you appreciate the good stuff you have if you hang out in a dump like this once every few years. I know my kids appreciated their own bed when they got home.
@scubaguy0073 жыл бұрын
@@Sldejo another great motel story I have is staying at the Knights Inn in Bainbridge, GA. A very nasty and filthy room was what they had available, so go figure. Mold on the shower curtain and around the toilet base, so other than a couple pee stops I stayed in the main room. I slept in a chair with my head on the table because the bed sheets were stained and the comforter looked like it was from the 1970’s as did the carpet and wall furnishings. I was going to leave but I got in at 0100 from a 6 hour drive and our show started at 0700 the next morning. When I turned the TV on after I first arrived it was on the free porn station with the volume load enough for the neighbors to hear easily. I might have blushed but I’m not sure because I was alone, and very afraid. None the less I checked out at 0600 and figured it was a well wasted $39.99 + tax of course. 😏

P.s. she told me they weren't hiring at the moment, but they'll save my application. Then my friend went to interview, and when he came back he had the biggest smile on his face as he said he got the job.

He's the second comedian to mention colleges asking for donation, and I'm starting to believe its not just a bit. It baffles me that that's a thing in the States especially considering that a) You don't even go there anymore, b) colleges are really expensive in the US
@tynekavka92644 жыл бұрын
@Eugene Martiny I understand why studying something like medicine, law etc are that expensive, the subject matter is very specific, not everyone can qualify to work in those fields, and you want to discourage people who aren't serious about, for example, medicine. But then you hear quotes from politicians(in this case it was a British mp) that say that universities should be able to price themselves at whatever price they see fit. The states are incredibly expensive education wise, some can defend that and say "but the education provided is high quality", and yet you see examples of other countries that provide a good education at affordable prices. There a lot of factors that play part in why some places are incredibly expensive and why others are affordable. I dont know what my point exactly is, its just interesting tid bits I guess

As a middle-aged, *divorced guy, I think that "love coupon" idea is HILARIOUS !!! I honestly wish I had heard that before I was divorced because I would have actually tried to use it during an argument. We had some DOOZIES that I managed to completely diffuse using humor and THAT would have probably worked !!. I'll keep it in mind in case I ever have another serious relationship.
