Universal Hobo I say all the time always have a plan B. These platforms are so temporary and you could lose everything at anytime. I get its alot of work to keep a channel relevant but I would also be going to school or doing some type of part time work on the side. I see too many KZbinrs that screwed themselves by putting all their eggs into one basket.

Why should she change her personality especially if she likes to be silly, or is natrually loose and fun in a not-always-adult way? Why does everyone have to be pressured into get so serious and stone-like as they get older, can't people be silly with no repercussions? Jumping into things and relationships is a clear sign of low self-esteem and depression. I had a lot of girlfriends myself... but it always ended the same way, with me making them sad. If you can not love yourself... you can not love anyone else. You look for a thrill of happiness, but when reality catches up with one... then comes emptiness. Medication was nothing to me ... felt almost worse. .. get all the side effects you can get. But doing things and evolving, educating works best for me.

As someone who has suffered from depression for the better part of 12 years, I agree with you about that. But I personally believe self-esteem is bullshit propaganda designed by some "elites" with an agenda hellebent on to keeping people's mental state down in the sewer, you can look up the legendary George Carlin's piece of the self-esteem movement right here on KZbin for yourself, you may be surprised what you hear. But I'm glad to hear you, Tabs, and many others are survivors of the beast that is capital D.

Everyone quotes the whole, "if you can't love yourself you can't love anyone else" narrative, but if you're not living it, you really won't be happy. Like, sure, you can use it as a cliche joke or something, but it's real, and it's serious. You can't rely on someone else to make you happy because they're not in your head. It's not sane logic. If this is new to you, this is a sign that that is your irrational thought behind all your self-image issues and maybe even anxiety and depression.

Trying to maintain your mental health can be tricky enough as it is, I can't imagine the pressures you felt and the toll the negativity took on you. I've been watching you since the Kentucky days! What a wild journey it's been watching you grow. First came in contact with your content with the charizard video. Then saw whatever would pop up on whatever platform I was using. Pretty much sums it up what I wanted to write out, too. Didn't follow her on all the other platforms and such but I also always came back every once in a while to watch her again. I think the Charizard video was my first one, too - atleast it was that time around and I watched multiple videos straight on, so can't tell for sure anymore. IT'S BEEN YEARS of watching her grow up while growing up oneself. She literally brightens the day with her cheerful nature and I'm glad she (somewhat) came into my life.

I feel the same way, it wasn't like I was focused on the pay. But with how much time I spent on stuff it wasn't like I could just survive life and save that way in a practical sense.
