Brubaker's Daredevil is good Rob!! Also Daredevil marvel Knights was really good too.. But Waid run from 1-36 was really good! Waid made him seem normal, made him flawed in a good way, and forced him to face different villains like Spot, Klaw, and Purple man.

No. Apocalypse is Marvel's 2nd oldest mutant, being over 5,000 years old. Selene is older at about 10,000. But Namor is Marvel's 1st mutant in terms of publication as he was created in 1939 and was part of the invaders alongside Captain America, Bucky, Jim Hammond(the original human torch) in WWII & others

at one point you said "I'm not too familiar with older Daredevil, to be Frank" (I'm paraphrasing here) Was this a sort of an easter egg reference to Frank Miller, who has one of the most popular runs on Daredevil from the late '70s into the '80s? If you aren't familiar with his work I think you'd really enjoy it. It's what all other takes on the character measure up to. I think Soule's version is definitely inspired by that. I'd also highly suggest runs by Brian Michael Bendis followed by Ed Brubaker's run. They are both really good and I think you'd enjoy them. Thanks for your videos - I really dig the passion and joy you have for these characters. Keep up the great work!

You should look at the nocenti/jrjr run rob. Very underrated daredevil stories, specifically the introduction of thyroid mary. Wilson Fisk and Typhoid Mary literally beat the hell out of daredevil physically and mentally in really interesting ways

Mark waid's run is MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE run of the character: a lot of new elements, well played, well written, shaking the status quo, a different but welcomed tone (in a time when every comic gets darker it's nice to see a dark comic become brighter)... i simply loved it.

Swift Swalow I was a huge fan of Waids run too, great tone and just FUN stories with Daredevil being his old school swashbuckling self before Miller came in the picture. I loved the one issue where he wound up trapped in Latveria or the one where he runs into freakin' Moleman. Great shit man. Not to mention Mike Allreds work on the art, good god his work so clean and vibrant you can't take your eyes off his pages!
