Yes, and many people forget that they started as a blues band. They can really do just about anything, even country ("Factory Girl" and "Dead Flowers" come to mind). I just wish they'd been more respectful to Mick Taylor (nothing against Woody); some of their best work was during the Taylor years.

Radiant Future Records They are great with writing and performing. Several bands play more complex music and have much more virtuosity in their writing and playing but nevertheless the final outcome of their work is never as convincing as what the Stones achieve. Sounds quite contradicting, right?

The Rolling Stones roots are traced back to a day when Kieth and Mick met and discussed music...records...blues records. Folks like Muddy Waters. Now, decades later, the Stones are still creating incredible music. And based on this track I think we will get LOTS of tunes grounded in the very blues that brought them together. Absolutely Amazing.

Not a bad song for a bunch of old men huh? Hey kiddies...this is how it's done if you want to get some attention. Don't hire a singer who is lame and whiny. Get someone with balls, get someone with big balls, get someone who can sing with authority. A Jim Morrison, an Elvis Presley, a John Lennon -- or a Mick Jagger -- who doesn't even sound like he's 73 years old. The Rolling Stones -- rock and roll personified. Since 1962.

u said what?.....i dont know if u r trying to say he can´t be call it a real singer because that´s not the way enough that deserves someone who´s over & beyond any category with a higher artistical status intact ....or r u maybe for real.....

Let's say for a moment that you're right and Mick is not a real singer. If he's not a real singer then how do you account for his record sales and popularity for fifty years? If he's not a real singer then that's what I want to be. Because this guy is 73 and he sings far better, and I may add, he moves better on stage, than any of the current crop of "rock" singers out here today. And while none of these guys are going to win any best looking handsome contests...they do have rock & roll faces & they are all slender and not fat from over indulgences. That says a lot for musicians over 65 Jeff. Few make it to this level...

One of the admirable things about the Rolling Stones is they have always acknowledged how indebted they are to Chicago blues musicians: props for chops.
