I won't say everything is fine, but Russian payment system works without problems. We have a Russian payment system - MIR, to which VISA & Master Card users from Russia were automatically changed. I pay with NFС, no problem at all. Yesterday I ordered a video card from China. The payment was from a VISA card, which does not work in other parts of the world for Russians, was accepted without problems by a Chinese online store. It seems to me that Russia is being pushed into the arms of China in vain. What will happen to Taiwan in some 10-15 years? I think we can guess. CHINA#1 is no longer a MEME P.S. I had a 2 month airline ticket bought and paid for this March. But I had to cancel the ticket, because of the insane book work online and at the time you had to have 3 RT-PCR tests and hotel and hospital contacts, then quarantine, you could test positive twice, 10 days each, and all online requirements, plus getting a 2 month visa was way to hard to do online, and since I'm not computer savvy, I gave up the battle. Will try again in September, hopefully by then, the Test & Go will be gone, and it will be much easier to come back to Thailand. If your not a computer genius, then don't even try,,,,,,,,,,,,

You now only need registered on thai pass , vaccine certificate, approved travel insurance1 pcr 72 hours before fly, book a ASQ / SHA+ hotel for 1 night and do the pcr test on arrival. If fine you are good to go can travel anywhere in Thailand and do a self test after 5 days where you upload results to the Morchana app. Still a hassle but not as much.

Just booked for April after I had canceled in the past as well. I can handle the new entry rules but if they add one more thing im out again....im just on a fine line of tolerance. Just need a vacation already....going for a month. Also, I think there's now a lot of pressure on Thailand to fully open and I think that could happen in the next 2 to 3 months....but still its a better time for me in April so ill head back in another 6 months for another trip.

If I was a retired Russian, I'd stay in Thailand for as long as I could afford it. I always got a kick out of seeing Russians wearing huge fur coats in BKK Airport on their way home. Most Russians that I met in Pattaya were from Vladivostok. I never had any problems with Russians, other than I maintain the food at the Nite market in Jomtien went totally downhill when the Russians showed up. That & the Russians staying in my hotel would buy bags of food at hte Nite Market then leave the garbage in the hotel Corridors at 30C temps. pheeuh!

I would dispute your claim regarding Thai Visa Centre. Due to a seriously ill wife, who could not be left alone, I dealt with them (Name is Grace), to obtain my first extension of stay (Non-Immigration -Marriage "O" class visa). I had seasoned funds and all the paperwork required at that time. I paid 17000Bt they said they only needed my passport which they picked up from my condo in Lat Phrao Bangkok. They would guarantee the 12-month extension, plus do all my 90-day reports and send me receipts. After 6 months they advised they could not do 90-day reports any longer. When I went to Immigration to do so myself in BKK I was detained temporarily while they checked my credentials. Only at this time was I aware that my extension had been given in Roi Et, and no longer a marriage class extension but changed to retirement. Was fined for failing to file TM30, and TM7's and accused of trying to cheat the immigration office by not presenting proof of funds. They may do some good work. But in my case I was put at risk of being arrested and deported whilst my dementia-laden Thai wife would have been left abandoned. Grace never even apologised.

I'm fiur weeks late on this. But if you lived in a big country and there's a question mark on whether or not there will be an airplane around to fly you home when you go on vacation, you probably wouldn't start a vacation. Also with inflation, their exchange rates of roubles to anything else is not very good. So any lengthy vacation is going to be much more exoensive than anticipated when booking a holiday. I can see why someone would cancel such an expensive vacation.
