The last year has been marked by my diagnosis of terminal brain cancer (actually in my spinal cord) in May of 2011. This has shaped our story in incredible ways and continues to transform our lives (you can read about it here). We are uncertain as to what the future holds for us but what we do know is that our lives are dedicated to the people of downtown Vancouver, WA where we are a part of a community of people trying to live like Jesus with and for those in our neighborhood. Wow, what an incredible story. God puts us through trials so that we may grow stronger in our faith. God was, is, and will forever be perfect. As humans, we oppose perfection. We sinned against God and still do every day...so why do we deserve life at all? We deserve death. God is gracious enough to let us live on His earth. Ryan saw the big picture and so does his wife. Man I wish I could feel or be like this beautiful couple. I'm sorry I'm not happy this beautiful couole had to go through this horrible thing. And I wish all the love and strength to this family to heal. But I just can't rap my dam head around excepting that. If I had cancer like him. I know that I wouldn't be able.to change it. I know that it wouldnt be able to disappear with drugs or treatment. But to find that death would be aoon around the corner that soon after diagonis. Wow. I would totally freak out and my world would soon beneath me..and I know that I couldnt rely on a good god after that. I would not be talking like that it is not ok...i hate life. I wonder if the prognoses would have changed had the clinic gotten him iin for the MRI sooner than 6 weeks. Doubtful of course, but still when there is questions of this nature one would think they might expedite diagnoses. Lovely family
