HOW to make Homemade Buns With Onion Flakes And Poppy Seed
➡️The recipe bread buns with onion flakes and poppy seeds:
Dough:
1 KG White flour
2 tablespoons of dry yeast
A spoon of fine salt
120 g white sugar
1 egg size L
1/3 cup (66 g) canola oil
1/4 cup fried and dried onion flakes (I bought at the supermarket)
4 tablespoons whole or ground poppy seeds
500-550 ml (2 cups and a little) tap water
Yeast:
add warm warm (500ml from the recipe) with yeast (2tbs) and 10 gr if sugar( from the recipe).
mix it well and let it sit for 10 min until it doubles the size.
For coating:
A beaten egg with 2 drops of water and a bit of salt
Sesame seeds for decoration
Preparation:
▪️In the mixer bowl, mix flour, dry yeast, sugar and salt, slowly add canola oil, egg, poppy seeds, fried onion, and half the amount of water.
▪️In the slow speed add the rest of the water in a slow pour, do not pour everything at once maybe the dough may not need the entire amount.
▪️Knead the dough for about 10-12 minutes until you get a smooth and flexible dough, which separates from the sides of the bowl.
▪️Grease the bowl a little and roll the dough in the grease, cover with plastic wrap, and let the dough rise for an hour and a half until it doubles in size.
▪️Divide the dough into balls weighing 105 grams each, about 18 balls should come out of this amount.
▪️Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and cover them to rise for 20 minutes.
▪️ Roll out each dough circle on a floured surface with a rolling pin into a long rectangle, using your hands roll the rectangle into a strip.
▪️Tie the strip into a simple knot bun, and place it on an oven tray lined with baking paper.
▪️Cover the buns to rise again for 30 minutes.
▪️Heat the oven to 180 degrees and when the buns have risen, gently brush them with a beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
▪️Bake for about 20-25 minutes until they are golden brown
