Of your three short films this is my favourite. It feels fully fleshed out with a satisfying conclusion. The elevator scene was great.... really ramped up the suspense! The characters were interesting and engaging. I loved the cinematography and direction. If you accomplished this on a limited budget you're a film company's dream. You seem to have the full package. I hope you get head hunted soon.

My instinct is that when the doctor said to count out bleem beans the prof should have counted out 3, given the doctor the bleemth one to hide in his hand then put the 4th one on the table with the other 3. That way the bleemth one is "elsewhere" unseen, not in another dimension but represented as being so.

Bleem represents a rotation out of 3-space. We have "0" - a point. Then "1" - a line. Then "2" - a plane. Then "3" - a volume, the three-dimensional space in which we live. But to get to "4" - a hypervolume stretching into the fourth dimension, the time dimension - we must rotate out of 3-space into 4-space, and that act of rotation is bleem. Bleem can be assigned a "value" of pi, denoting a complete rotation out of 3-space and back in, and that's why we can't normally see it. In the penultimate scene, the bleemth jellybean had had the third jellybean superimposed upon its point of return, so it couldn't rotate back into our space until the attendant took that third jellybean and left an open space for it to reappear.

This is formally childish in maths, an integer doesn't have to be an ordinal, if not try to count -8, 5i+2 or 7w,. are they mad as well? The very question about what is bleem is to formally descrbe it, not to count with it. If we assume it's an integer from the reals, then if bleem is sucessor of three, then bleem=four and four=five. It doesn't matter how you call it. The uniqueness of the sucessor and the closure of integers are properties of Peano axioms easily demonstrable.

Just saw a synopsis on TikTok and figured I’d give it a go. The idea of a base 11 system of math isn’t too bad, Mayans had a 12 base if I remember correctly. Using a different base could be helpful in some calculations, but base 10 is much easier given our language and understanding. Theories of the impossible equations can sometimes lead to a different base to reach a correct answer

He's right, if you take 3 and 5 and put them together, you get 8, which is infinity sideways. Having access to infinity sideways, the mathematician went back to a different point in infinity to tell the Doctor as a kid that his math was the real deal. The only problem was that he had to go back sideways, so he didn't see the car coming in his poorly aged peripherals. Twas hubris that killed the good mathematician.

It wouldn't be any number we could think of that's between 3 and 4, because none of them are integers; they are simply irrational numbers, fractions, or decimals. That's why bleem is said to be secret; to understand it probably requires knowledge of the fundamental fabrics of the world, and that's what makes this film so intriguing.
@runeuc12 жыл бұрын
Very well crafted. Great eye. Short stories are challenging in that you are forced to cram so much into a limited amount of time. It is difficult to obscure connections. The scene after the accident cuts to the doctor's office, so you know the patient is very likely the accident victim. Even depth of field cannot hide the white hair. After the doctor/kid/jellybean flashback you know that the patient is the one that got hit and how the story will end. Go make more!
