I don’t understand people who think being a vegan isn’t a morally preferable action. It’s debatable whether it’s a moral imperative or not, but it’s absolutely not debatable that killing is bad. It’s absurd to expect anyone to be morally excellent, but it should not be controversial that killing an animal and eating it is a bad thing, only whether it’s an acceptable evil or not.
@seanmadson852410 ай бұрын
@@felipevasconcelos6736 Can't tell if you're trolling, but either way, I'll bite. Are carnivorous animals all morally wrong for needing the meat of other living beings to stay alive? I would argue no, they are not morally wrong for doing so, it is merely a fact that they must eat flesh to survive, but you seem to infer otherwise?

My wife is a surprise vegan. She has worked at the same place for 6 months and nobody knows why she passes up all the food she is offered 😄 She just doesn't want to be judged for her own personal life choices. Btw, I'm a meat eater. I'll eat that fried chicken right in front of her. She's funny because she wants to smell all my food. She's been vegan for 16+ years though. So she thinks she remembers what things taste like. She will have me eat some dish and she will be like "it tastes just like bacon!" And I'm like "it's good, but babe, you have no real memory of bacon. This tastes nothing like bacon at all." 😄
@AlaiMacErc2 жыл бұрын
That kinda seems like over-steering the other direction. If I kept offering someone food and they kept refusing, it'd be useful information to know why, from my perspective. "Oh yeah, Mrs Eubanks the vegan, might not offer her the cheeseburger with extra honey-glazed bacon -- might want the carrot and hummus though!"
@marciavox81052 жыл бұрын
That’s so wholesome. However, I would like to know if someone is vegan. I guess I would just ask and hope she told me the truth. I like to express affection through food, so if she kept turning it down, I would feel a bit hurt. However, if I knew she was vegan, I would know what I could and couldn’t offer her.

"Bad or good, movies nearly always have a strange diminishing effect on works of fantasy. In the end, I think it's perhaps best for every character, sound, and place to belong to the reader, who will visualize them through the lens of imagination in a vivid and constantly changing way no camera can duplicate. Movies, after all, are only an illusion of motion comprised of thousands of still photographs. The imagination, however, moves with it's own tidal flow. The glory of a good tale is that it is limitless and fluid; _a good tale belongs to each reader in it's own particular way._ " -Stephen King
