Alien life is rather interesting. @@nomercyinc6783 Respectfully disagree. The 64.5 thru 66 models, in my opinion, just miss the mark by being too small. More roadster than actual sports car. In '69 - '74 you begin to see design choices being made that mimic other larger muscle cars such as the Barracuda and the Challenger. This imitation degrades the appeal and lowers their place in my Pony Car Hierarchy. The 2nd, and 3rd gen Mustangs are just laughably ugly with the 4th only slightly less so. The 5th and 6th generations were and are just an attempt to modernize the 1st gen design to capture the nostalgia market. Thus leaving the 67-68 model years, with their longer and wider wheelbase and more brawny version of the original design, as the perfectly balanced hybrid of sporty roadster and beefy American muscle car. End of the day, it's different strokes, of course, but anything designed by humans, even cars, can peak in the first 5 years and never recapture that summit.
