Why are people always saying, Anyone listening in (present year) ? As long as you're still digging the band, why do you need to know if anyone else is still in the same boat? I still listen to tons of music years later, but I don't need to ask if the bands are still relevant, because I think they are still great. Haha, sorry but I guess I'm just tired of watching the same comments everywhere.

One of the best, and easily the LOUDEST concert I ever went to, at the Phoenix in Toronto! Love the Smithereens. RIP Pat DiNizio

I was at the show.I remember chasing down the tour merchandise girl at the parking lot across from the venue. I purchased a red t-shirt that night. Still have it. Eleven album .

I saw these guys at a Long Island club back when this came out.. loudest show I ever went to...my ears are still ringing. 😁🤘. I got to chat with Pat too , back around 2000 , he had a website called “Psycholaberations”. The idea was , you’d send him some lyrics , and for 300 bucks , he’d write and record you a song and send it back on a CD. I talked to him a few times , but I never did send him anything , in retrospect , I wish I did.. RIP Pat.

In my opinion rock music today doesn't compare to songs like this one. This song just "Flat Out Rocks".

Quite possibly the best rock band to ever come out of New Jersey! The Smithereens were incredible musicians and songwriters extraordinaire! Go see them on tour (although without the great Pat DiNizio... RIP)!

+John Kelly Wow is right John. People under 30 generally don't like music, movies or anything much from the 1900's; only the crap of "right now".

Being an old fart, I forgot how much I liked a lot of rock from the 90's. Most of my friends were still listening to 60's pop, rock and folk. This song brings back a flood of memories... Listening to it now is like opening an old photo album.

I guess 1989 is close enough to the 90's to let that slide...lol ;) I like their mid to late 80's stuff better.

good gravy, man! for some reason I'm in a vortex of old music here and it is OHHHH SOOOO GOOOD to hear this hard driving music! Seems like my friends are STILL PLAYING 60's pop, rock, folk and BLUES OVERKILL. And that stuff is now 50+ years old. ugh
