If Phil Leotardo worked at a liquor store, he would ID check everyone under the age of 55

I swear to god man I hired this guy to work in a supermarket years ago. When I was on break I came to buy a pack of cigarettes and he gave them to me, as I was about to pay he asked me if I had ID, i thought he was joking but naw he was genuinely that stupid. He then snatched the cigarettes out of my hand and said he couldnt serve me without ID. He used to do a lot of stupid shit but he was a by the book kind of guy so I couldnt even fire him, I ended up transferring him to another store.

@Mike--Oxmall yeah I remember 15 years ago bars in Chicago were so afraid of getting a ticket they'd card everyone even old people in wheelchairs and shit...same with tobacco products some places won't sell unless you provide a ID "to scan" I just walk out it's marketing b.s. to get your name and address.

The problem with Tony and Phil is everytime Phil looked at Tony, all he could see was the physical results of uncontrolled, gluttonous desires for things like grilled cheese sandwiches...

In the series finale Tony actually defended Phil in the meet with Butchie and says it wasnt all Phil's fault they went to war. I think Tony respected Phil and tolerated him as just an old timer who did a unspecified amount of time in the can.
