I don’t know how unique it is but I’m completing my Alolan Shiny Dex (only new mons/forms) and I was hunting a second Hakamo-o to evolve it and boom a shiny Kommo-o showed up.

Awesome shiny! I haven’t really done a unique hunt unless you count 1st encounter dex nav I was able to find a snorunt and a abra this way

It's more of a unique moment than an unique hunt (don't think I have really done any of those that I can remember), but it was during my first (currently slowly working my way through a second one) SoulSilver quest. My girlfriend was pregnant with our son, and I really wanted to finish it before she gave birth, but I got my 5th member, a Swinub, just a few days before due date, so I wasn't too hopeful. But I started to hunt for my final member, a Ponyta, anyways, and got it the very next day after only 521 encounters. It was just so good a feeling to had it completed before I got too busy to shiny hunt for the next while.

Finding a shiny quickly when you were expecting to go for a while isn't *always* an awesome feeling Was hunting shiny Wooloo and was set to hunt for days on end, but got it on the third day after roughly 1760 encounters. I had quite liked the hunt though, nice and refreshing change of pace after Scarlet, so I decided to hunt one for my friend too! ...that one came in 205 encounters on the same day, and while cool, I was still a little miffed I didn't get to keep hunting it for longer lol

Scarlet and violet ruined shinies with how quick they appear with them showing up in the overworld. It’s never really fun to find shinies fast in those games but I’ll always enjoy a quick hunt for a full odds shiny in a game where you actually have to encounter the Pokémon to see if it’s shiny!

@@ThedomiNATION oh, I don't doubt that is true for most people, especially when you have had several hunts go over odds! However, I suffer from stupid meanie brain, so I don't really get that rush unless I work *hard* for it, you know? Otherwise, it just becomes a "oh, neat" kinda moment for me x)
