I love how James Gunn was smart enough to know that we as the audience know Harley has no chance of dying, so to compensate, he just has her off doing her own thing that's just as fun as the rest of the Squad but also fits into the narrative.

Fun fact from James Gunn, when she took the keys to unlock the cuffs with her feet, Margot Robbie actually did it herself in one shot, but Gunn didn't realize a piece of her outfit was oddly obscuring her face, so it looked too much like a stunt double was doing it, so they ficus more on her feet to avoid weird cuts to avoid the face. But that's actually Margot's feet doing the stunt.

I hope James Gunn gets more DCEU projects. This movie is great. Some of the best acting performances we’ve seen in a DC film. Bloodsport was cool as hell. Harley was great. Soundtrack was mostly great. Surprisingly poignant moments.

That whole part was ridiculous to me. She still has the bombs on the neck. There would have to be an office coup for her not to be able to kill them, and she has killed her staff for less. She could have the power to least transfer them and have a completely different crew. I thought that ,add the character less pf a worthy opponent in my opinion.

As a Portuguese person, I'd be remiss if I didn't comment on Daniela Melchior's performance with Ratcatcher 2. And with Taika Waititi as her dad? On top of Clérigos Tower in Porto? That was a nice surprise. Her chemistry with Idris, Sly and Cena was excellent. Also, I need to see that movie/TV show with David Dastmalchian as every character he played across both Marvel and DC.

Also for the record, James Gunn does not like improv. Improv on a movie this expensive is how you get fired (ask the 21 Jump Street Guys about Solo). James has stated that little to none of John Cena’s lines are improv, I doubt he’s letting Pete Davidson ramble off improv.

Loved to hear your guy's thoughts on all of these movies. Its amazing how we tend to agree on most stuff yet our rankings are, like, vastly different. I feel like Zack's JL and The Suicide Squad are on a very tight race to #1, that's how much I love those movies. Birds of Prey I thought was fun, but a lot more disposable than the other movies. But that song goes way back to the early 80's and was FIRST used for another soundtrack. 1985's Tuff Turf starring James Spader and a baby faced Robert Downy Jr. Look it up boys. In fact, the song is written and sung by the Jim Carroll Band, who are actually in that movie. And RDJ is playing as their drummer.

Idk if its exactly what the original should have been. This is by far a superior film to the first but I would still love to see David unleashed with his original vision. Imo this is a property that can easily take this fun popcorn route but I could see it taking the serious road as well. Great film though and cant wait to watch it again.

This movie was tonally all over the place. Sometimes it was cut together like a made-for-tv rom-com, sometimes it was over-produced shock gore, sometimes it was pure boring exposition. I fell asleep watching it. It was not very good imo.

If you're serious, Pete Hines works at Bethesda, he's been on We Have Cool Friends and such. Greg does things like this all the time. He would call Andrew Garfield "Andrew Goldfarb" instead, Goldfarb used to work at IGN with Greg, now works at Sucker Punch

My favorite part of the movie was during the flag-cena fight reflection where Cena throws a punch that looks super duper pro wrestling with the way he snapped it. Also for some reason I fully expected the ending to be, "well shit we're not equipped for this at all," and either end with them just walking away or end with superman fixing it. Supes would be outlandish and probably impossible but it's probably the rocksteady game trailer that put the idea in my head

I loved Bloodsport, he was such a Video game character. Kept pulling weapons out of thin air, and Every gun having an attachment, basically evolving. It was DOPE. I didn't like Harley Quinn, I think this is the most authentic Harley Quinn, I've seen and I liked it. Just disliked her in the movie. Turned the general into the generic bad guy. But it dragged the movie on longer than it needed to be. Edit: Oh I forgot, STarro is way too big a threat for them. I don't mind them going back for it. But, how dope would it be if you heard Wonder Woman's music drop while they were fighting.

Covid aside, they might just be home-bodies. I watched Suicide Squad at home and it was nice to be able to pause it when we wanted and not have to worry about people making noise in the audience. Theater experience is still great, but watching from home wasn't bad.

I prefer watching movies at home but with 2 kids and a baby it's impossible for me and my wife to watch a 2hr+ movie without being interrupted every 15 minutes, so my mom comes hang out with the kids and we go to the movies lol it's only like once a month anyways
