also a recommended reads on dual perspective books maybe ? my favourites are All the bright places and Eleanor and park x Currently i am reading noughts and crosses at school as well and it is a dystopian dual perspective book so you can understand the world the authors has created on two sides of views, making it extremely interesting. xx

I read the book Dream Things True last month which was a romance between an American boy and a Mexican girl who is an illegal immigrant and is in the fear of being deported the whole time. Personally, I think that book fell flat. I have higher hopes for this one :)

I am clearly in the minority on this opinion, but I found this book absolutely insufferable. Daniel is soooooooo perfect, while Natasha is soooooo cynical and unlikeable. It also has to be one of the most cliche books I have ever read. It also found a way to fall into two incredibly cliche endings at the same time. Meanwhile, the "one day" narrative does not work. How am I going to be sad that these two don't initially work out, as they have only known each other for an afternoon? Meanwhile, the likelihood of Natasha falling for Daniel in an afternoon is also incredibly slim. To me, it was just so cheesy. "Observable fact, I don't believe in magic - Observable fact, we are magic" Really? And it really didn't have much to say. The main message I got from the ending was that being deported sucks, which everyone already knows. Everything about this book was surface level at best.
