Love this video guys , bow hunting is something you should grow up doing , and if you don’t , it would be very hard to make the transition, it also is more attractive to areas like where I live ,,N C , where the deer per square mile is through the roof , and the need for either sex harvest is more desirable.

Joe, make a video on what you have going to be available to buy so people can tell what items are already been designed. Then after Thanksgiving or Christmas, after News year you could launch the website when you had more time???? 🍺⚾

What’s the bag limit for deer? In Texas we have a general bag limit of 5- no more than 1 buck… all seasons combined. So you could get a deer during archery and still hunt rifle season…. Is it a lack of freezer space? Or you just don’t need the meat? Special late season in January for Texas is does or spikes only….
@JoeandZachSurvival2 жыл бұрын
The state is broke up into many areas. By the hobby farm house you can get one buck and unlimited does but the rifle season is only two weeks long. In most of the state you can shoot one buck or a doe but only one deer for the seasons combined. At the tent you can shoot one buck, that is it. There was a doe lottery and only 25 permits were available for that area and my Dad was one that got drawn BUT. He can still only shoot a buck or a doe. Not both.

This was a GREAT video. I had no questions, because I follow along (and have from the beginning). Even bought a stove after Joe talked about his replacement a year ago....maybe 2? My daughter and I look forward to your milestone vids (Deer, Duck, Fishing, Winter Trip) and I've come to HOPE I can be as OCD as Joe on cleaning and maintenance...😆😆 But...if you don't do it, who will...and how much will it cost? It's great to see Zach and Sara (C'mon Em...!) with you....esp on the Milestone Vids...continue to pass the tradition (I LOVE the homage paid with the lantern at Duck Camp). Reminds me of what I've tried to do in my own family...becomes a legacy. I would hope that one day....someone hangs a lantern for me. It would be so great to see them both more often...but...they obviously have their own lives. As a viewer, I used to get a little frustrated, because....NO CABIN BUILD...but in this vid, Joe sums it up perfectly...kind of "It ain't broke...Why fix it?" and that's AWESOME....literally has me re-thinking my approach to the land my brother and I have up near the Canadian border. Keep it up, you guys.....HOPE to see more vids like this in the future!

Great stories ! Thank you for taking the time to share. I do hope that you give bow hunting a try. I don't see it being a problem with the amount of time you have spent hunting by the tent. Knowing the area and deer patterns is half the battle. All that is left is setting up close enough for an ethical shot but you know all this. I personally love the quietness of bow hunting and the challenge of holding the bow at full draw when the shot placement suddenly changes. I have gotten deer with both bow and rifle but I started out with bow and by doing so it taught me lessons on how to get closer to deer. You can at least take one day during the family tradition to give it a go or even one day at the Farmhouse. I'm telling you, you will LOVE IT.
