I have been using this build for a while now. I want to show it and talk to you about it. No matter the situation it's strong. You can make changes here and there for different results. Honestly, one of the most fun builds I have ever used!

I also can't highly recommend trying this with base renewal stasis hunter enough. The regen on dusk fields is so fast and frozen targets also take increased shatter damage from the grenade shot. Paired with a headstone weapon it's carried me through a good chunk of day 1 salvations, gms, solo legend campaign etc.

This gun is my party loadout 😂. I told my buddy to join me in trials and put it on, since you start out with a grenade and ammo. We turned the corner and disintegrated the team. I love this gun. A few kills is all your grenade energy back. Plus the catalyst is aawesome.

There are few builds that can take Rufus out of my hands. Since the day I crafted it, it has been my go to for pretty much everything. So I'm glad to see Rufus is a suggested for this build.

I just wish this weapon played into prismatic more. Like when you transcend, it would've been cool to see each class get an even more powerful and unique power shot based on their transcendance grenade.

You can also use your bird grenade while in Song of Flame to charge Tessellation!

Man I LOVE Tesselation and I'm a Hunter. It was the absolute MVP during the season of the Witch activities on a full strand build. Can't recommend it enough.

Can confirm you get only the gun with the dlc. You need the annual pass for the catalyst. Which is werid,could be worse and not get either.

@calebhenry3601 Mine, if I remember correctly, I pulled from the exotic kiosk Inbetween where the vaults are in the tower. Otherwise, check the little kiosk to the right of Banshee in the tower.

Dipped my toes into a few Pantheon encounters and was disappointed when I got a Pugilist+Frenzy Rufus, but the gun felt so good to use. More recently, since TFS, I've been more and more happy with it. I love Tessellation, though, despite all the negativity about it. I use it most on HoIL Hunter, but on Warlock, my main.

i've been using it with balance of power on prismatic, which made the threaded spectre nerf randomly affecting pve really annoying, but man it's a fun gun

I HIGHLYZ reccomend using Tess with behemoth. The shear amount of grenade regen you can have active on that subclass INDEPENDANT from getting kills is incredibly understaded.

@@lonecalzone6901 The simplest is just utilising the two fragments for generating grenade energy upon taking damage & shattering crystals. Add into that elemental charge alongside kickstart mods and you will find yourself getting 15s-20s icewall grenades. If you want it to be montecarlo levels of ability spam, pair it with a enhanceable demo + wellspring primary + orb based abilitt regen mods, HOWEVER that requires you to get kills.

My only complaint with tessellation is that the absorbed grenade during transcendence should apply two debuffs! That would be so cool!!!

I played with this gun a bunch and it’s rlly good, but i just havent found myself using it since i finished the catalyst despite this, it’s a very flexible exotic, i had a rlly fun handheld super nova with controverse holds pairing with this, you either hand held supernova them up close, or you eat ye nade into the gun and blast em from a distance

I use Tessellation on Prismatic Icefall Mantle titan with a Headstone/Strategist crafted Veiled Threat and the stasis rocket launcher from Ghosts of the Deep for a full stasis loadout that takes advantage of stasis surge x4 on icefall usage. Works really well the auto rifle perks on the artifact

Been doing this with better devils, buried bloodline and edge transit on Titan, class item Star eater/eternal warrior. Love it, feels like it’ll be good even beyond the artifact

Tesselation is cool but for this setup you'd be better off with choir of one. Imma try this matadoxia setup with a Rufus and CoO though. Not for Champ content but I could see breachlight working then.

I actually prefer Tesselation with Strand for thr Sever. Its hard to get a sever source in a lot of dungeon runs and its what actually keeps the team alive to do their damage in Warlord's Ruin.

Looking at this build makes me sad. It's great, but there's so few builds that feel like more than just "put on X exotic weapon with Y subclass and Z armor". The fact that there's two builds going on at once here with both the melee and grenade aspects of the build feeding into each other is something that we lack so much in D2. I feel like every build is just put this on (see: sunbracers, starfire, etc). There's ACTUAL buildcrafting here, everything is useful and used in the loop instead of being added on top. Ability kills for grenades, grenades for bursts of damage with tesselation, melees to grant devour, the crowd control utility being provided by mataidoxia, the pick of pugilist instead of demo to get both energies through devour and the perk on kill, all while leaving the heavy slot open for damage options. There's even a fragment that specifically plays into both the strand and void parts of the build. This feels like the only time in my 3k hours of playing Destiny that I witnessed ACTUAL buildcrafting. Every build is so spoonfed to us, "put on combi blow, liars and melee dodge", "put on sunbracers with heat rises", "put on *waves hands* HOIL or syntho in general". The only thing that its missing would be a use for that last aspect slot. I'm tempted to say just put on bleak watchers, but you're already dedicating your grenade to tesselation for the most part. While it would work, how about instead focusing the armor mods into class ability regen, and then use helion? That way you can spam heals to help your fireteam. It seems fitting as both the class ability and armor mods aren't used. That would make it a truly all-rounder build that has *gasp* actual thourough buildcrafting behind it! Genuinely made me want to hop on just to play around with it. That kind of stuff being so rare is what made me so bored of Destiny.

That's what I like about it. Only way I could describe it is self sustaining/ self churn. Pretty much everything you do helps something else directly. And with that fragments, I feel good about 3 of them but the other 2 you can use to add on even more. My main focus was being helpful in damage phases ( or solo tbh). I found getting a 2nd proc of weaken (grenade) and then self proc radiant from arcane made the most sense. But, there's a ton more to do with it, you just have to move some things around.

Catalyst makes a good difference as well, especially on prism where you can just swap grenades to swap the subclass verb instead of switching your whole subclass and build

While I was farming kills for the catalyst, Tesselation just felt really slow and clunky to fire, even for a fusion. Would something like armor mods or Ophidian or something let you charge it faster..? Maybe I just need to try using it with a holster mod..? I dunno. I love seeing people use forgotten exotics, but I really miss the speed and reliability of other special weapons when I was using it before.

so, to me. That's why i use it that way. The reload is kinda painful. Only to me to burst OR back to back if I have another nade charge. I never find myself using it otherwise, unless in fusion mode getting kills with devour to get the nade back.

Sadly that's how it works, you need the deluxe, and then you get the thing at the kiosk in the tower. Or just wait till the next season, you won't get it right now though

Stuff for premium access guns usually releases the season after the annual release, that's how it was with NTTE, Quicksil and Striga. You're probably just gonna have to wait until Revenant.

@@isostrike1667as unfortunate as it is to have to wait, I feel this is a fair business move. Easy for me to say though, as a deluxe owner. Them doing similar things with silver only shaders is actually something that affects me, as I don’t pump silver into anything. As unfortunate as silver only shaders is, i've been pleased that they historically come for bright dust the following season. Let people pay money to flaunt it early, then let the masses have it for free a few months later.

Coolguy I love you but there is no weapon in the game that could make me remove my arc conductor Ergo Sum with the warlock healing helmet. Prismatic Warlock Song of Flame for DR not for anything else Lightning surge/devour Healing grenade/arcane needle Class ability can be whatever Balance/courage/protection/purpose/dawn Speakers sight Arc siphon/spec ammo finder Impact Induction/heavy handed Better Already Arc surge makes this far more powerful x2 is what I use. You can also use Mantle for X4 surge if you are weird like me. I also use Inmost Light/Synthoceps class item more than any other exotic. Infinite healing, infinite Ergo Sum ammo when using double special (the call), huge DPS, the ladies will love you, your fire team will envy you. You will become the lore accurate Guardian. Or you may end up in that casket from season of saving Saint 14. Try it. You will never go back again.

of course. A a lot has to change around and basically a titan specific build is made, but the base of tessellation and the artifact stays.

I got cooked a few weeks ago by someone using this in PVP of all things. Can't say I was able to make it work for me, but hey, specialists are one of the best things about D2.
