Not sure if anybody has said this in the comments yet but the reason they've gone for the colour palletes they've chosen for the maps is probably to help all the endemic life and gathering points standout more, especially in handheld mode.

Rampage is realllllly fun both solo and in a group. For solo, if you get focused, you can easily wyvern ride one of the gate crashers to take out all the others and be basically invulnerable. Wyvern riding has the Gong dps boost the entire hunt, even when the gong isnt active. I was getting a lot of hits that were 600, some almost even 1000, while wyvern riding and in the earlier rampages you can literally 1 shot the other monsters lol.

Protip: pinch the "bottom" of the banana when the stem is still too green. Works everytime. Doesn't destroy your banana

Gotta ask Chris them speed run questions boys, like if wire bugs are gonna be TA ( not that freestyle isn’t awesome ), what some of his favorite speed runs are within TDS and outside, etc. I’d say ask him who his favorite speed runners are but don’t put him in the spot haha that would suck. I'm concerned that I will play the hell out of Rise, get to endgame, and then stop playing before the first big update comes out. I have a problem of not going back to a game once I stop playing, usually because I start playing a new game. I'm a big enough MH fan that I think I will go back for each big update, just depends what other game I'm playing when the updates come out.

I don’t know if anyone else has left a comment about the banana, but I am itching to impart my knowledge, so forgive me if I’m repeating someone else. The best, and flawless way to open a banana is to start at the other end. The stalky end should be your handle, leave that alone. Instead, take the small end, and pinch it at the tip with thumb and forefinger. Then turn it 90 degrees and do another pinch. You need to have pinched it twice in perpendicular directions. It will then peel back effortlessly, no matter how green. Trust me. My banana life changed forever when I learnt this. Just leave the obvious, big stalky end alone.

On the point of doing separate ultimate games and buying the DLC: there's also a lot of weird ass people that think any DLC should be free just because previous updates are free. I havent had the colour problem, maybe because I've been playing on a qled tv and the colours are amazing on that. So yes natively the colours are a bit drab but monitor settings could help with that.

Welp, given Rise is out now I'm going full blackout on any/all Rise videos until I am able to play it firsthand. (Because our local retail store seemed to NOT receive any copies on launch day, or at least not that were still on shelf by 10am when I could shop). So in the meantime, I'm going to comment about something completely different: MH3U. ...By now I've hunted (or at least have access to) every monster in the game. - Dire Miralis was both spectacular and boring (particularly when it was on land). I did get enough materials to craft its Lance and max it out (natural purple sharpness!), but otherwise ... yeah, I was already done with that dragon. - Village Alatreon stomped me pretty hard, but it was also my first attempt so I will be going back to take him on again eventually. - Lucent Nargacuga surprised me for having Poison, but once I got my gear together and switched to my proper "tank" set (Agnaktor Z) he was no major trouble at all to take down. - Silver Rathalos went down yesterday, though it took 40 minutes with a Lance to do it (max Zinogre lance, because I forget whether Silver is weakest to water or ice). - (Gold Rathian is next) - Hallowed Jhen scares me. Soloing HR5 Jhen was difficult enough already given how it kept breaking the dragonship in the last 5 minutes. Seriously, it's like "2 more minutes for the repel!" "Quest failed..."

I don't think that sharping on your palamute is over-powered because it may make master's touch obsolete, which is a good thing. Master's touch was almost mandatory in World, hopefully it won't be in Rise. We'll see.
