I’m torn, having had breast cancer. There are a lot of studies indicating that women who have had breast cancer and who continue to eat high fat dairy, have a much higher incidence of reoccurrence and mortality. I have heard, but have not researched, that some new studies say we should have no dairy, even low fat. I’m always trying to up my protein intake, but am now worried about 2% yogurt and cottage cheese. Never a dull moment!!! I love what I’ve learned from you.

Not all dairy is the same. And, if you think of cancer as a metabolic issue, then this can change who you approach food. Cancers (and inflammation) are fed by sugars, to lower inflammation can look like the MIND diet or Mediterranean diet. Cheese and yogurt contain probiotics, so if eaten in small amounts may help, especially if greatly reducing wheat products like bread, pretzels, chips, cakes, table sugars, etc.

They taste so good you that a moderate serving is satisfying (and you can look forward to them the following day!). I also love Gouda, and your video has reminded me to pick up some of that on my next shopping trip. I'm not certain of this, but I read somewhere that American-made cheeses (unless otherwise stated) do not have the probiotic effect because they are made with pasteurized milk. In order to be sold in the US, European cheeses have to be aged (which means slow fermentation, I suppose) six months. So best to get Northern European cheese for the gut bacteria.

Very challenging. I'm not sure if this was a contributor to my osteoporosis. I've also been on various nutrient dense healing diets over the years with weight loss/thin many times so I'm not sure if this was also a contributor.

@debbieredfern22672 ай бұрын
I dont know if you did, but you should take the RDA of calcium in tablet form and add K2 and D3 in order for the calcium to be 'directed ' to where it should go, ie, to your bones and not in your muscle and arteries. Take these with fatty food.😊 plenty of good info out there if you search. Also train with steadily increasing weights . Think functional weight training not weight lifting.😊 Yoga is great for flexibility, but when walking add weights if you can, either by wearing a rucksack with bottles of water which you can pour away if it becomes too much. Or do shorter weights wearing a weighted vest, and wear this around the home for intervals as well.😊And if it were me I would be seriously considering if my life is more important than not eating dairy food. If you cant because of lactose intolerance find lactose free dairy or give goat dairy a try. Much more gentle on the digestive system . I cant eat cow dairy but goat dairy I can tolerate and quite honestly goat butter is superior😊

Kefir yogurt vs.standard yogurt ■ Comparison favors kefir yogurt with more, much more beneficial properties. Organic kefir grains combined with organic whole milk to make kefir milk is my personal practice in kefir yogurt which is adding the kefir milk in layers (overnight refrigerated) in fruit - kefir milk - granola/grain cereal. Kefir butter, kefir cheese, and kefir milk: kefir whey is the byproduct from making kefir cheese, and organic buttermilk is the byproduct from making kefir butter when organic heavy whipping cream is combined with kefir milk to churn the fat to butter and separate the milk/buttermilk. Wouldn’t Kefir be far better than yogurt? Yogurt, by law, can only have 2-3 very specific probiotic bacterial strains or it can’t be called yogurt. Kefir typically has 12 different probiotic bacterial strains! A calf weighs 65 pounds at birth and will weigh 900 pounds within just one year! That means there’s a tremendous amount of naturally occurring growth hormones in the mother cow’s milk so her calf can make this huge, rapid growth. This is without the addition of manmade growth hormones! It is thought that these naturally occurring growth hormones help fuel tumor growth. Dairy consumption is linked to both prostate and breast cancers! Have you thought about this? Commercial Strawberries are the most heavily sprayed crop in America with up to 40 different pesticides sprayed on them!! If you’re going to buy just one item that is organically grown it should be strawberries. Trying to fend off cancer by eating yogurt and eating commercially grown strawberries is like taking on step forward and two steps backwards. You won’t be able to get ahead. These pesticides are toxic!
