Katheryn Saunders Yeah, maybe 5 seconds was supposed to be the length of their career? But, I did like 500 Days Of Summer, and I don’t even like those kinds of movies. Never cared about 30 seconds to mars though, but they had a kinda cool sounding band name, don’t you think?
@yeetmetothemoon84345 жыл бұрын
I enjoy 5sos music, but i gotta admit that the group name is exactly like the lyrics they write: it sounds deep if you don't listen too hard. They said in an interview how it sound kinda nice when you think about 5 seconds of the summer, but when you really think about it, it has another whole meaning. I don't remember exactly how they said it, but it was something like that and it's kinda the equivalent of saying "I'm saying something deep right now". It sounds like it's deep and mysterious until you search for a real meaning and realise it's garbage, exactly like my life. Basically they write thing that don't make sense, but are still a not too bad group for teenage girl because the singer is not bad at all, and they have a decent instrumental mix thing going on. I really liked them when I was 16, which make sens, and the typical horse girl of my highschool friend group still like them a lot today because they aren't so bad, and #SoFuckinfDeeeeppBroooo

it's still gross and weird when pretty people do it, but now it's gross and weird and HOT - made even hotter by the gross and weird bit - lemme try to explain the appeal have u heard of eroguro, japan's national aesthetic? catholics are into it, too - they just won't admit it, unlike the japanese there's a strange beauty to beautiful people doing ugly things - or ugly things being done to beautiful people. i think it's the same principle as a sweet and sour flavor combo - the sour brings out the sweet, and the sweet tempers the sour all people are naturally attracted to beauty, and considering all the sex-and-guts focused horror movies we have today, blood and gore seems to excite people - alone, they're not that remarkable, but together, they have this strange effect of enhancing each other's best qualities catholic art also has undertones of such an idea - the religion has a hard-on for suffering - as ashley cope calls it, the nobility of suffering suffering has been seen for centuries as oddly noble and beautiful - martyrdom especially, catholics love that stuff

Xentenial I don't know if this is a woman thing or not, because even if Adam Levine was hypothetically a sexy woman in that clip, dancing around human carcasses on hooks is definitely a turnoff to me. Do you like Maroon 5? Their early work was a little too rock for my tastes, but when It Won’t Be Soon Before Long came out in 2007, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a slick, funky sound, and a new sheen of immaculate production that really gives the songs a big boost. Adam Levine’s been compared to Brandon Flowers, but I think he has a far more adamant, boastful sense of bravado. In 2010, Maroon 5 released Hands All Over, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Moves Like Jagger", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just a song about seduction that invokes the image of the famous British singer, it's also a personal statement about Adam himself.

So, what are your thoughts on Maroon 5? Their early work was a little too new pop for my taste. But then they came out with their album V in 2014 and I really think they came into their own, comercially and artistically. The album has a clear, sharp, crisp sound and a sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. While he's been called one of the most romantic men in America, I really think Adam Levine has a more bitter, cynical understanding of love than what he publicly shows.

I find your honesty refreshing, and i get you don't want to lose fans or anything, but if you gotta let those emotions out, i say do it man. I don't personally find you negative, it's a pretty proper response to a cesspool of awful music and uninspired hacks. Shawn Fields uh i mean,,, i’m not them??? so how would i know ?????
@shawnfields27575 жыл бұрын
mia I know you're not them dude, because if you were, you'd be too busy making songs to even make a comment in the first place. I didn't expect you to know, but I decided to ask anyways, because I thought it'd be funny to see what you had to say, because maybe you'd say something funny. It's fine though. So, I guess neither one of us is really qualified to talk about why or how they hate being called a boy band, yet keep acting like one. I mean, I don't like boy bands either, at least not anymore, but I did unironically enjoy nsync and the backstreet boys when they were around, because I thought their songs sounded ok. So, it's not entirely bad to sound like a boy band, but I get why some people wouldn't want to be associated with the term. It can bring bad connotations and make your music seem like it's only made for annoying, screaming fangirls. Maybe these guys want to be seen as a serious band? Maybe that's why they hate being compared to one? Because maybe it makes them seem like a bunch of kids wearing their dad's clothes? That's what I think anyways, dude.
