This tends to be true. But there are other factors, like men just deciding women are not worth the effort to date them, nor the money they are expected to spend paying for everything, and in divorce/other lawsuits and accusations afterwards. It's just something unnecessary. So they instead decide to travel and/or focus on their own projects and passions.

It’s not just one thing. Life is a combination of experiences that make us who we are. The current narrative is that women don’t “need” men. That short term happiness is more important than the long term joys built in a relationship. What happens when you put men who come from narcissistic or abusive childhood’s in that arena? Splash that with how superficial people have become and the lack of principle value. What did you think was going to happen??

This is the irony. In order to have confidence in dating, people need to experience success first. Nobody feels confident in their first try. Those that succeed, become confident. Those that don't, become more fearful.
