It is also probably a comfort thing because of his chronic pain condition and he feels it most in like his back and hips a lot so sitting regular style in a chair is putting a lot of pressure on those areas so he sits differently to relieve that and ease at least some of his general pain.

I like that they pointed out that Eugene actually *stayed longer* after the scandal. Comments saying that Eugene seems pretty "checked out" so they're not surprised he's leaving always annoy me because the guys, including Eugene, repeated many times before (in TryPod... which I guess why other people didn't know!) that Eugene actually enjoyed working with the Try Guys so much leading to his many personal projects being delayed. To the point that Keith and Zach have to tell Eugene that he should NOT delay his dreams anymore 🥹 And seriously props to Keith and Zach (and Rachel and Nick

I love the support they have for each other. Eugene staying so he didn't make things harder on them, but then them pushing him to take his opportunities now. Having a 3rd active partner is always gonna be easier than 2 (unless toxic) and they probably could find plenty of excuses to delay, but they wanted to see him fulfilled. Just like with his coming out video and them encouraging him to release on their channel because it would reach wider audiences. I definitely believe they are all friends behind the scenes.

Not only that, but when Miles (their podcast producer who really helped them gain a lot of popularity in the podcast world) came to them and said he didn’t have enough time to do his own projects, they tried changing his schedule around to see if they could make it work. When he said it was just too much, they were so supportive of him every step of the way even though they were losing a very talented employee who the fans had come to know and love very much. They still stayed close friends to the point that Miles would come visit them at the office just to hang out whenever he had free time. Now that Eugene is “leaving” and they’re doing 2nd Try, they hired him back to be a Try Guy. If that’s not one of the best work relationships I’ve ever seen, idk what is!

Like Antonia said, I am also pretty sure Jackie mentioned Ned by name. Zach and Keith didn't though. Zach even called him "redacted". Right now, only Olivia said his name. Glad someone else needed to say this! He really loved those lilies and his whole garden in general. You can also really see the difference with how he painted the same landscape the older he got, and the worse the cataract got. Some of his latest works were almost abstract, probably because of the eye condition and emotional changes related to that.

@artific3r_
@artific3r_ 3 ай бұрын
Part of why 2nd try seems to be so much more successful seems like, in part, because they directly asked dropout and sam reich for tips on what made dropout successful, and also because a lot of other groups trying to do the streaming service bid are doing so with the idea that it will make them more money, whereas try guys and dropout both switched to streaming service for more stability. That's part of it anyway

youtube audiences, especially on comedic, personality-driven legacy channels like the try guys, college humor/dropout, and even smosh, are VERY used to self-deprecation from the creators imo. stems from the Olden KZbin Days when the word “influencer” didn’t exist, and being a youtuber wasn’t exactly a desirable profession. a common insult back then once a creator “made it big” (usually breaking a sub milestone, selling merch, taking sponsorships, or upgrading video production with sets/editors/etc) was that they had sold out and were only making videos for the money. combine that with previously trendy millennial online humor a la “hey guys, see that trash can? that’s me lol :)” and you get established creators who will preemptively dunk on their own offerings to avoid seeming entitled to their audience’s money or attention. the “cheaper and worse” advertising is a really good example of this, and apart from actual product quality, is one tangible way that dropout/second try succeeded in connecting with their audiences while something like watcher (also a buzzfeed legacy) was so infamously tone-deaf in its presentation and intent, and soured a lot of their audience’s good will.

I fell off the Try Guys for a while, but when the scandal happened, i fell back in 100% with the podcast! Sometimes, despite how depressing it is, I rewatch the "what happened" episode as background sound. This is probably the first assumptions ive watched where i know the interviewees so well, and its kind of funny to hear everyone elses assumptions. I also got HUGE whiplash from seeing/hearing That Guy for the first time in 2 years! The Try Guys have very purpsefully removed him from everything, and you can really tell how seriously they handled the situation in the "scandal" section of this video (if you had no idea what the scandal was, i think youd be seriously worried about what happened lol)

You could say that the skit was to make fun of internet drama. Even though try guys do watched by a lot of people. But the live tv audience dont necessarily know who they are and fell like what’s the big deal? It’s back to the tv people see internet celebrities as small fry. Try guys is popular, but it’s online so people who like them are about all necessary near you. While people who watch tv, which is still a lot of people, would still don’t know who they are.

I think it’s literally because one of Ned’s Yale buddies is a writer at SNL and I believe was credited with that sketch… so… I think that’s why they had such a poor take. Which is unfortunate, because I’m sure that was a lot of people’s first introduction to the Try Guys and it’s such a skewed view of what happened

I've left comments on Try Guy stuff about this.... this is why I wish Zach would talk about cannabinoid Hyperemesis on his show because as fun and safe as pot is, this is a possible outcome especially for chronic heavy users and there is little to no acknowledgement of it beyond the medical community and as someone who suffered from it, it took years before I even knew what was wrong with me....I feel like Zach could do a very informative approachable video on it that could help a lot of people out there.
