Corvettes, especially the C7 platform, knows how to take corners and they're light in weight in comparison to any dodge challenger or charger. But yes, corvettes are VERY nice in their own way

Its nice that we can finally trick up mopars with the blacktop package. Before that, all you got was cloth seats and a barebone interior. On a different note, the one thing that i dont understand tho is you can only get the red suede interior on the charger scatpack and above but not on the rt yet you can for the challenger rt

Yup dodge is basically adding everything you could want aftermarket and making them all options or packages. The only negative is the “premium cost” a dealership charges for them but it’s definitely cool. I think Dodge is always pushing the Challenger a bit more, for example they’ve got the Redeye, Demon, etc. And Charger sometimes gets left behind as the more family car it seems

The 50th anniversary package includes many items that are extra cost on other models. As a result the net cost of a complete vehicle is less than a thousand dollars more than a comperable standard model.

Dan Busey yah I agree. Everyone thinks it 5k extra for 50th anniversary Challenger but like you say if you add the stuff in regular Challenger it less then 2k difference.

I agree in person it seems to look worse too. A few of the photos were from an auto show and it looks like a weird combination of lime and piss yellow 😂 doesn’t really go great on the car as opposed to if it had been actually “gold color”

Great video! I’d really like to see a video on debunking the common agreement/argument on dodge R/T cars not having limited slip diffs. This is a huge issue, and everybody says that all R/T dodges come with an OPEN rear diff and to my knowledge this is correct. That’s insanely crappy!

Yeah I’ve heard you cannot order an RT today with an LSD it’s all the 3.06 Open Diff, same with many automatics from 2008-2015. I’ll look more into it

THANK GOD! Someone at FCA/PSA has the brains to keep a stick in the fleet! #SaveTheManual! I'd love to see an automaker have body coloured anodized/powdercoated brake calipers! I think that would look sharp! Seeing the specs on the whole line I think Dodge has marketed this solely as a drag car, and not a track day car. I would suspect that the proportions of the car would make it fairly unweilding to spend a day at Sebring, or CTMS, or even a day on an oval. Glad to see they still see a market in the car, but it sure needs a refresh. Maybe they could do a Pentastar turbo, and call it the Dodge Challenger Turbo Z (I still want a first gen 4 headlight K based Daytona!)

I'm from South Africa and we don't really have US cars and if we do, we don't get the cool ones. Which is odd because AMG, Ms and other performance and luxury vehicles are common. The only muscle cars we get are the Mustang 2.3 and V8 5.0. We did have the 300C (5.7 Hemi and SRT) and the crappy Crossfire (SRT6). And... shit I forgot why I even started this. I could just delete the post but then I'd have nothing to show for my time and effort.

If you're not Dodge could build the Challenger series cars with mostly high-strength aluminium and carbon fiber, it would drastically reduce the weight and improve performance... even with the current OEM suspension! Unfortunately, that would drive the price north of $100k, no doubt. Ford started using high-strength aluminium in their F-series trucks, but it was more of a reaction to the successes if the RAM series trucks; and it only offered mediocre gains. Other manufacturers have used aluminum to varying degrees of success, but something tells me that the current Team of gearheads at Dodge could pull it off better than anyone. They're quite the out-of-the-box thinkers.
