My mom still makes homemade bread every week. Now she has to make multiple loaves because the minute it comes out of the oven the kids are running in. It becomes a free-for-all over who gets the next slice. All you see is people standing there with steaming hot bread and butter dripping down their chins...lol. It's glorious.🤣💗

“Lucious plump little butt cheeks.” I love that so much! LOL! I was thinking the exact same thing. Hahaha but just that it looks like a little butt. I really enjoy all these videos and watching you make all the recipes. (I have found a love for Samyang noodles too.) One of the greatest parts of the video, for me, is when you eat what you make. I find myself commenting on all the food I eat like you. 😂 I wonder if it bothers people but I don’t care. I say, “That’s the way Emmy would say it!” This bread looks SO yummy. I could only imagine the wonderful smell. Thank for all you do, Emmy! I just love all of your informative videos!

When at my grandparents house I can remember my grandfather loving, as a cheeky little teatime treat, a slice of fresh white bread straight from the bakery, it had to have a good crust and be very fresh and pillowy spread with a generous amount of Cornish clotted cream and drizzled on top with, usually, golden syrup but as an extra special treat he'd drizzle it with maple syrup. This recipe reminded me of this, not so much because of the bread itself but the flavours described. 🍞💜🍞💜🍞

Since this comment section is often full of wisdom, I wonder if anyone knows the trick to keep freshly baked white bread crust from going hard after it cools? I’ve tried various “tricks”, like letting the bread cool in different ways/conditions, or slightly reducing baking time. Nothing seems to work. Is it just the nature of the beast? Or is there a way around it?

@@susucattayls4679 I think I might’ve figured it out! On a whim, I decided to stick the whole loaf into a gallon sized ziplock bag before it fully cooled. I didn’t seal it completely, I left about a 2-3” opening in the zipper until it cooled completely, then I sealed it all the way. It seems to trap most of the moisture in, and voila! Soft bread with soft crust!

I commented on a video of yours recently saying I was allergic to wheat. I’m also allergic to maple as well as corn, soy, peanuts and walnuts. However I love maple and I have made bread before and used sesame oil instead of vegetable oil, it was delicious. I was diagnosed with the allergies a few months ago after months in an out of hospitals and clinics due to numerous symptoms. I’m glad I know but the diet change was pretty drastic at first, living in southern north America. At least allergy free food is becoming easier to find in stores. P.s. I love your videos!

@@charlie6923 I didn't check the internal temperature, but it looked completely baked. There wasn't any actual dough left. It was just pretty doughy when chewed. Maybe that is just the texture of milk bread 🤷‍♀️
@nothing-yet
@nothing-yet 2 жыл бұрын
Milk bread does have a bit more chewiness to it, but I'm not sure how far on the doughy end I'd describe it - was it given time to rest/cool before it was cut, 30 mins to an hour? Sometimes when bread is cut straight out of the oven, it would have more of a gummy, doughy feel to it, and can feel more dense. I kinda like it but it does seem weird if you're not expecting it! Whatever the case happened to be, I hope you enjoy your bread baking adventures!
@emmymade
@emmymade 2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like it might have been a tad under baked. I'd say get an inexpensive instant-read thermometer, so you can check the temperature and know 💯 when the bread is done. After enough practice you won't need to check the temperature, you'll just know. 💫
