Random question: Who do u think is the best post scorer playing in the NBA right now?
@ShotMechanics5 жыл бұрын
Amanda Aybar id he’s healthy it’s gotta be KD... But pound for pound I like Steph Curry 😀👍🏼

The way Kyrie and Russ are able to use the midpost spin is so hard to guard. They’re so elite because they can score at every level. It’s pick your poison for the defense. Take notes everyone!

Luis Guerrero if he takes enough shots he can. And we all know Russ is not afraid to hoist up shots.

Thank you for doing this! I guess having a set of moves in your mind; and then executing that as per what the D gives you, is how to get the results. It is actually a great location. When playing man to man; If you beat your guy off the dribble you are close to getting a layup. If he sags off you, you've got a shot that is similar distance to the Foul Line, so you should be fairly good at those. You are in a dangerous enough of a spot to get a Double Team - which means you should be able to get the ball to an open team mate. And if they're playing 2-3 Zone, you are just a bit too far from the Centre and so he's sort of frozen; should he let you 1v1 his guy, or should he come out and leave the paint open? And NBA statistics have shown that passes out from the Post are the best for 3s, rather than skipping them around outside (okay), or driving and dish (good). That is because the shooter is already aligned to the Rim, so catch + shoot is easiest. Fun!

Kobe was the master in the midpost quick turn around fadeaway jumper, opposing players would always know it's coming but they just couldn't stop it.

Lose weight. No sense making it harder for yourself! Box jumps. Proper jumping technique. I say this as a 38 year old who can't touch the Rim anymore
